Without Picograms, Jones Can’t Survive ‘Chaos’

By now, most UFC fans are familiar with the concept of “MMA Math.”

For example, Nate Diaz submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 196. McGregor stopped Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. That means Diaz would defeat Alvarez if they ever fought, which certainly sounds good on paper, but that’s not how fighting (or math) works.

Sorry, Mickey.

That hasn’t stopped combat sports fans (or fighters in this case) from creating new equations, like the one I call “USADA Math,” which states an MMA fighter is only as good as the junk he’s taking.

Like Vitor Belfort, who was only a killing machine when allowed to take TRT.

With that in mind, UFC welterweight No. 1 contender, Colby Covington, believes that UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones, would not be the same fighter he is today without the help of performance-enhancing drugs, which continue to pulse through his system by way of The Picogram Express.

Choo! Choo!

“I’ll destroy Jonny,” Covington told BJPenn.com Radio. “I was destroying him in college, dumping him on his head every day in practice. You can go ask anybody in the Iowa Central wrestling room that was there when we were there. I’d love to get my hands on Jonny picograms, man. If he didn’t have all those picograms in his system, he wouldn’t be the same fighter he is today. He’s a fucking piece of shit.”

Don’t knock it, being a piece of shit can be surprisingly freeing.

If you’re wondering why the welterweight title contender is going after a fighter two weight classes above him; well, consider that A) they used to be roommates in college and B) Covington has nothing else to talk about until UFC books his Kamaru Usman fight.

Until then, maybe “Chaos” can try to put his money where his mouth is on the jiu-jitsu mats, sort of like this middleweight did to settle his unfinished business with “Bones.”

I’d watch.
