World Series of Fighting middleweight champion David Branch led the reported payroll for WSOF 10, taking home $36,000 for his title-winning performance over Jesse Taylor, according to figures released to MMAFighting.com by the Nevada Athletic Commission
Fighting the finals of WSOF’s four-man middleweight tournament, Branch submitted former The Ultimate Fighter standout Taylor with a first-round D’arce choke to seize the inaugural WSOF 185-pound strap in the night’s main event. Branch’s victory snapped a seven-fight win streak for Taylor, who earned $9,000 in the losing effort.
Elsewhere on the card, WSOF women’s strawweight champion Jessica Aguilar and former featherweight title challenger Lance Palmer led the rest of the night’s total payroll.
Aguilar, widely regarded as the best female strawweight in the world, pocketed $35,000 for her dominant title defense over Emi Fujino ($6,000), while Palmer earned $30,000 for his first-round submission win over Nick LoBosco ($4,000), which kicked off the main card on NBC Sports Network.
