If you went to the debut World Series of Fighting event on Nov. 3 in Las Vegas, chances are you got in for free.
Friday, the Nevada Athletic Commission released official gate and attendance numbers for the event at Planet Hollywood, which was headlined by Andrei Arlovski’s first-round knockout of Devin Cole.
The event drew a crowd of 5,575 to PH Live. Of those, 1,499 were paying spectators and 4,076 got in with complimentary tickets.
The gate for the event, the main card of which aired live on the NBC Sports Network, was $82,608.22.
Disclosed fighter payouts for the event were $328,000, with Arlovski leading the pack by earning $60,000.
While WSOF president Ray Sefo indicated on Saturday that the company’s second event would be held on Jan. 26 in Las Vegas, company officials now state they’re looking for a different date in February.
Update: The NAC also revealed on Friday that all 20 competitors on the card were drug tested and all passed their tests.
