It didn’t take top-ten welterweight Jon Fitch (24-5-1, 1NC) long to find a new home to hang his gloves with Thursday nights announcement that the former UFC contender had been signed to a four-fight contract with the World Series of Fighting promotion.
WSOF senior exec Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed the news with MMAFighting.com.
Fitch is expected to make his debut On June 14 at the WSOF 3 event.
Fitch was released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship last month following a decision loss to Demian Maia at UFC 156. His dismissal ended a seven-year relationship between the two which saw Fitch debut back at UFN 2 in October 2005.
