A WWE personality will be escorting a UFC fighter to his debut fight in Edmonton next month.

When Arjan Bhullar makes his UFC debut in Edmonton next month, he will have a famous face escorting him down to the cage. The undefeated heavyweight and Olympic wrestler from British Columbia will walk out with current WWE champion Jinder Mahal.

Bhullar took to Instagram to make the announcement:

“When we as a people can genuinely support each other amazing is possible. I was able to watch The Maharaja do his thing in Vancouver and now I’m excited to announce @wwe Champ @jindermahal will be taking time away from his busy schedule to accompany the Team for my debut fight in his home province of Alberta. Shout out to the boss @danawhite for hooking up the VIP treatment”

Mahal (real name Raj Dhesi) is an Alberta resident, having grown up in Calgary. He has been WWE champion since May and is the first wrestler of Indian descent to hold the title. Bhullar will become the first fighter of Indian descent to enter the Octagon.

The two men have met previously, filming a video for Daily Hive together last month.

Bhullar (6-0) will meet Luis Henrique at UFC 215 on September 9th.
