Conor McGregor was fuming Saturday night after losing big on some bets he placed on UFC 308. He even posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called his ex-teammate Artem Lobov a retard!

Sports betting has always been a very fickle endeavor, and MMA betting is even more unpredictable due to the sport’s wild nature. McGregor has been developing his “Drake” persona and throwing down big stacks on bad bets, and as expected, it’s not going very well.

In his latest exploit, he threw down a crackhead’s dream of a parlay and bet that Robert Whittaker and Max Holloway would win via knockout. It did not hit…

Conor McGregor loses $500k on a wild parlay, calls his ex-Teammate a retard

In a now-deleted tweet, McGregor flashed the ticket for his bet on X and marveled that $500k could be turned into over $17 million!

Of course, the odds of this bet are in the territory where the bet itself is considered a “lotto”. This means it’s so unlikely that the bet hits (according to the odds) that you might as well spend $500k on lottery tickets instead. The bet flopped big time, and not even a single leg of the parlay hit.

Conor McGregor was enraged, and for some reason, this led to him hopping back on X and spewing hatred at his old ex-teammate, labeling the man a retard.

The hatred towards Lobov possibly stems from a lawsuit that the Russian launched against McGregor some time ago. Still, it is unclear why losing the bet made Conor McGregor lash out at his former training partner. Maybe the two made amends, and Lobov suggested the bet to McGregor? Or, McGregor might have just been in a foul mood after losing $500k, and in an alcohol and drug-induced rage, could’ve been lashing out at anyone and anybody that came to mind.

What do you think about that wild parlay McGregor threw away $500k on?

UFC megastar Conor McGregor ordered to disclose his earnings from Proper No. 12 sale

Conor McGregor has not one, but two big fights right around the corner.

On Saturday, June 29, McGregor will return to the Octagon for the first time in nearly three years when he meets former Bellator MMA champion ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler in the UFC 303 main event.

Today, the Irishman’s net worth is estimated to be over $200 million — a majority of that coming from the sale of his popular brand of Irish whiskey, Proper No. 12. Selling a majority stake to Proximo Spirits for $600 million in 2021, McGregor and everyone involved in the product became very rich.

Conor McGregor

Well, maybe not everyone.

McGregor’s longtime friend and former UFC fighter Artem Lobov has brought legal action against the former two-division champion, claiming that he was promised a 5% stake in Proper No. 12, but never received any money from the sale. McGregor reportedly offered Lobov a flat $1 million which ‘The Russian Hammer’ declined.

Artem Lobov could be entitled to $20 million from the sale of Conor McGregor’s Proper No. 12

As a result, McGregor is being forced to disclose his earnings to the Dublin High Court by Friday, May 10 per a report from The Irish Sun.

McGregor is said to have banked roughly $140 million from the sale. If Lobov successfully makes his argument, he could walk away with 5% of the $600 million the whiskey brand sold for — or $20 million.

Lobov had also filed a lawsuit against Conor McGregor for defamation after ‘Mystic Mac’ dubbed him a “rat” during a social media rant in 2022. However, the Dublin High Court cleared the Irisman of any wrongdoing and closed the case.

Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov

Conor McGregor has roughly 90 days to disclose how much he made from the sale of his popular brand of Irish whiskey as part of a High Court action by former friend and UFC fighter Artem Lobov.

In an order made by John Glennon, deputy master of the High Court, McGregor must deliver documentation detailing his portion of the reported $600 million that Proximo Spirits paid the Irishman and two other shareholders to acquire Proper No. 12 in 2021.

The order for discovery is part of an action aimed at enforcing what Lobov’s lawyers allege was an agreement between the ex-sparring partners that guaranteed their client would receive 5% of the proceeds from the sale.

Lobov claims he was the co-founder of the concept to develop a whiskey brand with McGregor and was later “muscled out” of the company. According to Lobov, McGregor had offered him $1 million for his involvement, but Lobov refused. He said the 5% agreement was made orally between the two men at a gym in Dublin around September 2017. “Remember 5% is yours, no matter what,” McGregor allegedly told Lobov during the interaction.

The 5% that Lobov claims he was guaranteed would equate to $30 million. McGregor denies any such conversation took place.

McGregor’s lawyers opposed the application, arguing the documents sought were commercially sensitive. Despite that, the deputy master ordered the discovery of documents relating to McGregor’s share in the proceeds, as well as records relating to McGregor’s interest in the whiskey brand.

I am very happy with the decision and I now look forward to the case going to trial,” Lobov said in a statement.

Reports suggest that Conor McGregor earned upwards of $130 million when he and the other shareholders sold their stakes to the owners of Jose Cuervo tequila.

Conor McGregor takes dig at former friend Artem Lobov amid looming civil war in Russia

Conor McGregor is once again calling out former friend Artem Lobov, claiming the ex-UFC fighter is collecting benefits in Ireland while his home country is on the brink of a civil war.

Lobov, who hails from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, was at one time a close personal friend of Conor McGregor’s, but all of that changed last year when Lobov attempted to sue the Irishman. Lobov claimed that he was part of the brainchild that developed McGregor’s Proper No. 12 brand of whiskey and wanted his piece of the pie after it was sold to Proximo Spirits in 2021 for a staggering $600 million.

Of course, Conor McGregor did not take kindly to the lawsuit and unleashed a series of tweets calling Lobov a rat. That, in turn, resulted in ‘The Russian Hammer’ filing another suit, this time under the 2009 Defamation Act. In the end, both lawsuits were thrown out, and Lobov was left with nothing but the bill for McGregor’s legal expenses following his multiple failed injunctions. The Irishman is also free to take the occasional jab at his ex-friend when the mood strikes.

That’s exactly what happened when Conor McGregor called out Lobov on social media for taking up residence in Ireland and, according to McGregor, collecting benefits while his home country is engulfed in turmoil with a potential civil war looming.

Civil war in Russia and Artem lobov still in Ireland on benefits,” McGregor tweeted.

Appearing on season 22 of The Ultimate Fighter, Artem Lobov competed under the UFC banner between 2015 and 2018. During that run, he went 2-5, losing three-straight en route to being released by the promotion. He has since transitioned into the world of bare-knuckle boxing under the BKFC banner, but ‘The Russian Hammer’ has not fared much better in his newer setting. Overall, Lobov is 14-15-1 in his career, which has spanned more than a decade.

The Turmoil in Russia Continues

In February 2022, Russia invaded and occupied parts of Ukraine in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which had begun in 2014. Since then, tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians have lost their lives, while another eight million Ukrainians were left displaced by the invasion.

As reported by CNN, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the chief of the private paramilitary group Wagner, led an insurrection that took over military facilities in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh. The latest turn of events reportedly began when Prigozhin accused Russia’s military of attacking a Wagner camp and slaying a “huge amount” of Prigozhin’s men.

There are 25,000 of us, and we are going to find out why there is such chaos in the country,” Prigozhin said.

The embattled President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, promised swift and severe punishment for those involved in the armed rebellion.

“Those who carry deliberately on a path of treason, preparing an armed rebellion when you were preparing terrorist attacks, will be punished,” Putin said.

“Any internal turmoil is a deadly threat to our statehood for us as a nation; it is a blow to Russia for our people and our actions to protect our homeland. Such a threat will face a severe response.”

Conor McGregor is celebrating Paradigm Sports’ legal victory over boxing legend Manny Pacquiao the only way he knows how; by tweeting and deleting.

On Wednesday, Paradigm Sports, who represents some of the biggest names in combat sports including, Conor McGregor, was awarded a $5.1 million settlement after a ruling that their former client, Manny Pacquiao, was in breach of contact after negotiations for a bout with Mikey Garcia fell through. Paradigm reportedly fronted Pacquiao $3.3 million for the bout which never materialized. Paradigm was awarded that plus an additional $1.8 million in damages. With lawyer fees and interest, Pacquiao will be forced to pay $8 million in total.

Conor McGregor reveled in Paradigm’s win in a since-deleted tweet, sharing thoughts on his agency’s big day before turning his attention toward former friend Artem Lobov.

‘Manny owes 8 in all. 5.1 he owes and then 2.1 in legal costs,” McGregor tweeted. “Legal fees are heavy but that’s what we do. Heavy weight operations. Rartem, you already owe me two rounds of court fees, awarded by the judge. There will be a judgement put on your home as this progresses because I know you won’t have my legal fees. I will have no choice but to take your home. You are a mad thing lol. Silly c*nt.”

Last year, ex-UFC fighter Artem Lobov sued former friend Conor McGregor, claiming that he played a pivotal role in the inception of the Irishman’s popular brand of whiskey, Proper No. 12. Lobov sued for unpaid profits after McGregor sold the brand to Proximo Spirits in 2021 for a reported $600 million. The case was eventually thrown out with Lobov ordered to pay McGregor’s legal fees.

Following Paradigm’s win over Manny Pacquiao in court, the sports agency’s CEO issued a statement, saying:

“We are elated to learn of the jury’s ruling in Paradigm’s favor in our suit against Manny Pacquiao,’ Paradigm CEO Audie Attar said. “The jury plainly found that Pacquiao testified falsely in denying Paradigm’s claims against him, and his excuses for his conduct proves our case that a breach of contract was committed.

“We are appreciative of the court’s time and the jury’s careful attention to the facts of this case. Hopefully, Manny will have learned a lesson from the verdict and will henceforth act with the honesty and integrity that was so lacking in his treatment of Paradigm.”
