Further adding to his riches tonight following the culmination of Euro 2024, former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor scooped another million dollar bet win – with Spain brushing aside England in the men’s final to lift the trophy for a record-setting fourth time.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the promotion, managed to add to his finances earlier this month after he backed former-foe, Nate Diaz to beat Jorge Masvidal in their boxing rematch – turning in a $1,625,000 payday for his wager.

And watching on as the men’s Spanish national side took on Gareth Southgate’s England in the European Championships final in Berlin, Conor McGregor confirmed he had netted a stunning €1,000,000 payout for his latest wager, backing the Spaniards to emerge from the match with The Henri Delaunay Cup in tow.

Taking a second half lead in German, Spain scored right after half time with Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal finding Bilbao forward, Nico Williams at the back post, who fired past Jordan Pickford to find the net.

Pegged back with an equalising effort, some neat combination play from substitutes, Ollie Watkins, and Cole Palmer saw the latter steer a long-range effort past Unai Simon into the Spanish net via a deflection.

However, just minutes from time, Real Sociedad striker, Mikel Oyarzabal found the net for the second time for Spain from close range, with Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella setting up his compatriot with a dangerous pass.

More and more people won’t believe that Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler will occur until the two fighters are actually in the Octagon. Some, meanwhile, are believing that McGregor will just never fight again.

The Irishman, however, wants to assure Chandler and fight fans everywhere that the bout between the two will happen before 2024 ends.

In a tweet to “Iron,” McGregor stated that promise after apparently having a recent conversation with UFC CEO Dana White.

“I talked to Dana today about our new date, all looking good! 24′ for sure,” McGregor wrote.

Conor McGregor: Fight vs. Michael Chandler Will Happen Before End Of 2024

McGregor, in fact, posted a video on his social media showing him taking a run weeks removed from his toe injury, which led to the cancellation of his planned comeback at UFC 303 late last month.

McGregor and Chandler, after coaching season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, were finally scheduled to face each other in the June 29 main event at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

A June 3 press conference, however, was canceled at the last minute, with the fight officially being confirmed as postponed 10 days later.

According to Conor McGregor, he will fight Michael Chandler before the clock runs out on 2024.

McGregor was originally scheduled to fight the former Bellator MMA champion at UFC 303 in Las Vegas last month, but a broken pinky toe forced the Irish megastar to withdraw from the fight.

Thus far, no official announcements have been made regarding a rescheduled date, but McGregor recently offered an update on social media, revealing that their fight will happen before 2025 comes around.

“I talked to Dana today about our new days, all looking good! 24′ for sure,” McGregor wrote on X.

McGregor insists he’ll be good to go by August or September. Unfortunately, the promotion’s dance card is currently booked full for most of 2024 leaving only a few dates available where the Irishman could fit into a main event.

The Options are limited for conor mcGregor’s UFC return in 2024

It’s safe to say that McGregor vs. Chandler won’t be happening at UFC 306 when the promotion makes its highly anticipated debut at Sphere in Las Vegas.

UFC 307 in Salt Lake City is a possibility, though recent rumors have suggested that the promotion could be looking to book Sean O’Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili at the event. We can’t see the UFC taking McGregor to Abu Dhabi for UFC 308, and UFC 309 is currently earmarked for a heavyweight championship superfight between Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic.

That leaves December which would be UFC 310. Thus far, it’s the only pay-per-view in 2024 without any solid details regarding its date or location, let alone the main event. Since 2019, the UFC has run the final PPV of the year in Las Vegas. 2024 likely won’t be any different, making it the best candidate for McGregor’s quote-unquote “greatest comeback in combat sports history.”

Of course, all of this is pure speculation until Dana White says otherwise.

Escorted from the election rally on the East Coast, Trump’s current condition has been described as “fine” by officials, with further reports revealing the alleged shooter has been neutralized by law enforcement, along with another attendee at the event.

Reacting to the attempted assination of Trump, UFC CEO, Dana White offered his suppor to the Republican candidate, claiming he was “sick” to hear the news.

“I’m on a plane right now flying to Italy and my phone has been blowing up with text messages from people informing me @realdonaldtrump was shot,” Dana White posted on Instagram. “I am absolutely sick to my stomach and in complete shock. I still don’t know how bad it is or if he’s oky. But @mickmaynard2 just sent me this picture and I’m praying President Trump is 100% healthy.”

“This image perfectly reflects EXACTLY the man I know Donald Trump to be,” Dana White continued. “He is the toughest, most resilient, AMERICAN BAD ASS on this planet. I hope the weak coward that show him gets what he deserves, and I can’t WAIT to stand up on that stage with him on Thursday and introduce him at the Republican National Convention and tell the WORLD exactly the character of the friend and man I KNOW!!”

Former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor also weighed in the attempted assassination of Trump, offering his support to the former United States President.

“A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the Med touring golf courses,” Conor McGregor posted on his official X account. But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States.”

Donald Trump, the 45th U.S. President and likely Republican nominee in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, is reportedly safe after being rushed off stage following an apparent assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The Associated Press reports that Trump said “Oh” and grabbed at his ear when the shots first rang out, with the presumptive Republican nominee crouching down as two more shots were heard.

Trump was tackled on stage by agents, who were covering to protect him from the gunfire, as screams were heard throughout the thousands gathered for the rally. When Trump got back to his feet, he appeared to have blood on his face but pumped his fist as he was escorted off stage and away from the scene.

Spokesman Steven Cheung subsequently released the following statement.

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

Multiple reports, citing Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger, state that a suspected gunman and at least one member of the rally’s audience were killed.

UFC Fighters & Personalities React To Apparent Trump Shooting

Trump and UFC CEO Dana White have had a long-standing loyalty and friendship to one another dating back to the UFC’s early days. When Zuffa purchased the promotion at the start of 2001, the first two events (UFC 30 and UFC 31) were held at the then-Trump Taj Mahal (now the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino) in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

White was a big supporter of Trump during the 2016 and 2020 elections and appeared to continue to be such with Trump being the presumptive Republican Party nominee for the 2024 election.

The Pennsylvania rally was the last Trump was holding prior to the start of the Republican National Convention that begins on July 15.

Conor McGregor back to running after broken pinky toe forced him out of UFC 303 headliner

It looks like Conor McGregor’s pinky toe is feeling much better.

Last month, the Irish megastar bowed out of his highly anticipated headliner with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 after he broke his little toe during a training session.

Conor McGregor

Being that it was the first time McGregor had ever backed out of a scheduled fight, fans were expecting the situation to be a bit more dire, prompting pundits and fellow fighters to absolutely shred the former two-division titleholder on social media.

Little has been said about McGregor’s recovery process with Dana White outright refusing to talk about the Irishman’s quote-unquote “greatest comeback in combat sports history” until he’s 100%.

Well, it now looks like that ‘Mystic Mac’ is on his way back to a full bill of health per a recent post on Instagram. In the video clip, which you can see below, McGregor was spotted running down a street seemingly without issue.

Could We Be Waiting until December to see Conor McGregor’s Return?

That’s a big improvement compared to what he had previously told Severe MMA while attending Bellator’s Championship Series event in Dublin.

Conor McGregor

McGregor previously stated that a return in August or September would be optimal. However, MMA Hour host Ariel Helwani suggested that we might not see ‘The Notorious’ back in action until December with the UFC already filling up a majority of its events between now and then.
