The drama between tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg truly knows no end.

Over the last few days, things have taken a decidedly ugly turn after the Titan of Tesla delivered a heap of details regarding their high-profile clash, including suggestions that the bout will take place inside Italy’s legendary Colosseum and that the UFC will not have any involvement in promoting the fantasy fight.

Zuckerberg was quick to call bullsh*t on pretty much everything Musk stated and advised fight fans to disregard practically anything the Sultan of Space X says regarding the contest. That was before ultimately advising everyone that it was “time to move on” from discussing the fight as Musk had allegedly declined most of the realistic terms that Zuckerberg had approached him with.

MMA fans were ready to take the Facebook co-founder’s advice, and this writer would certainly be thrilled to never have to write about either of them ever again, but sadly, Elon Musk has no intentions of walking away quietly. In fact, the Telsa Motors CEO doubled down on his determination, threatening to show up at Zuckerberg’s home in Palo Alto to fight it out.

Elon Musk Once Again Targets Mark Zuckerberg on Social Media

Since then, Elon Musk has once again taken to his recently revamped platform in an attempt to further gaslight fans into thinking that Zuckerberg is the one dragging his feet on their proposed billionaire beatdown.

“I joked on X about fighting Zuck. Zuck then said “SEND ME LOCATION.” Italy graciously offered a Colosseum. Zuck declined. I suggested his home as “safe space.” Tragically, he was ahem “traveling.” Is there anywhere he will fight?,” Musk wrote on X.

Needless to say, Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg is beginning to turn into an even bigger circus than before, and patience is clearly beginning to run thin on the side of the Meta CEO who takes his martial arts very seriously. Unfortunately, Musk has seemingly used this as nothing more than an opportunity to make himself feel like a tough guy compared to a man who is actually out there training and competing.

Are you still holding out hope to see this social media smackdown go down or is it, as ‘The Zuck suggested, time to move on?

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong is firmly on the side of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg when it comes to the tech billionaire’s ongoing feud with the Titan of Tesla, Elon Musk.

The ongoing rivalry between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has seemingly hit a boiling point after Musk revealed a series of details regarding his long-teased cage match with the Meta CEO. However, those claims, including one that the UFC would not be involved in the promotion of their fight whatsoever, were quickly debunked by Zuckerberg. In fact, ‘The Zuck’ even went so far as to advise that any news regarding the fantasy matchup should be disregarded unless it comes from him directly.

Shortly after, Zuckerberg suggested that it could be “time to move on” from discussing the proposed social media smackdown, adding that Elon Musk was not taking the contest seriously. Musk has since responded, threatening to show up at Zuckerberg’s home in Palo Alto to fight him right then and there. A comment that has drawn the ire of the MMA community.

ONE Championship Founder Chatri Sityodtong Gives His Take on Musk vs. ‘The Zuck’

That includes ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong who delivered his lengthy take on the Musk vs. Zuckerberg debate via Facebook. Sityodtong, a lifelong martial artist himself, sided with Zuckerberg and slammed Musk for his bully-like antics.

“I normally don’t like to get involved in other people’s spats, but I am compelled to say something on the latest development of the potential fight between Mark Zuckerberg vs Elon Musk,” Sityodtong wrote. “A few hours ago, Elon said that he was planning to show up to Mark’s house to fight him. Elon is one of the greatest entrepreneurs in history and I have a lot of respect for his guts, accomplishments, and intellect. However, I dislike bullying of any kind.

“First, Elon genuinely knows nothing about fighting or martial arts despite his claims to the contrary. As a lifelong expert martial artist who has been in my fair share of scraps, I can tell simply by the way he is acting. The problem with most men who have never fought and/or trained seriously in martial arts is exactly what Elon is doing. They have a false sense of bravado and no understanding or appreciation for what technical skills and knowledge can do in a fight. A legit blue belt in jiu-jitsu is very dangerous to someone who knows nothing.

“As CEO of the world’s largest martial arts organization and someone involved in the fight game as my life, I know when people want to fight or not. When people want to fight, they accept a fight and simply show up,” Sityodtong continued. “When people don’t want to fight, they do exactly what Elon has been doing. They make up excuses, conditions, and reasons for avoiding the fight. Elon has made up puzzling excuse after excuse, be it the need for surgery, the need to do it in the Coliseum in Italy, the idea of doing it through his and Mark’s foundations, the idea of a backyard practice run, etc.

“The global martial arts community is small. Consensus from people who have trained with Mark and/or Elon is that there is a large gap in skills in favor of Mark. Mark might be new to martial arts, but he is a real martial artist. He is a legit blue belt in jiu-jitsu under Dave Camarillo and consistently trains hard multiple times a week. Professor Dave is genuinely one of the finest black belts on the planet and his knowledge of both jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts is unparalleled.

“I trained with Mark at his house a few months ago together with his teammates under Professor Dave. As a brown belt under Renzo Gracie, I can tell you that the training environment was truly world-class with utmost seriousness and intensity. Mark might be only 2 years into his journey as a martial artist, but he has fully adopted the warrior way of life.

In my expert opinion, Mark will likely choke Elon unconscious in a fight. Elon could win by a lucky punch due to his size and weight. He’s 186cm and weighs 100kg. Mark is 171cm and weighs 70kg. However, Mark is in fighting shape and Elon is not. Mark has the gas tank for 3 rounds and Elon has the gas tank for 3 minutes.

“As all martial artists know, skill often trumps size when there is a large disparity in skill. I am not saying that Mark will win 100%. A fight is a fight. Elon could get lucky. What I am saying though is that Mark has a very high probability of winning.

The ongoing drama between tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg seemingly knows no end.

What started as an insincere challenge on social media has quickly taken on a life of its own, dragging the mainstream media and MMA’s biggest names into the swirling circus-like vortex. Recently, Musk kicked up some more dust when he suggested that the long-teased bout would exclusively stream on both the X and Meta platforms with the UFC having no involvement in the production.

However, Zuckerberg was quick to point out that he had not agreed to any of the terms that Musk revealed. Furthermore, the Facebook co-founder remained adamant that the UFC or ONE Championship be directly involved in the event, a stance that directly contradicted what Musk had claimed.

Growing tired of the back and forth, Zuckerberg issued a statement suggesting that it’s “time to move on” after Musk allegedly declined legitimate offers from himself and Dana White to make the fantasy fight a reality.

Elon Musk Snaps Back, Accepts Zuckerberg’s Challenge

Less than 24 hours after Mark Zuckerberg’s statement, Elon Musk has once again snapped back and accepted Zuckerberg’s challenge. “Thought you might want some tea, so I brought the bags,” Musk wrote after dropping the real bombshell on his recently revamped platform.

“Knock, knock … challenge accepted … open the door @finkd,” Musk posted on X.

Of course, this could be nothing more than Elon Musk attempting to save face after being outed by Zuckerberg. At this point, it’s probably best to take the META CEO’s advice and exercise extreme caution when it comes to anything the Titan of Tesla says regarding the social media smackdown.

Are you still interested in seeing Musk and Zuckerberg mix it up inside the Octagon, or is it time to move on and leave MMA to the professionals?

Mark Zuckerberg Elon Musk

Facebook head honcho Mark Zuckerberg has now released a statement regarding his impending fight with Elon Musk, and things aren’t looking too good as far as the fight coming to fruition goes.

The idea of a fight between the two rich tech-industry giants was born out of both men’s love for combat sports. Zuckerberg has been training for a while now and has recently even competed in some jiu-jitsu tournaments. Also, Zuckerberg’s company has been developing an app to rival Twitter, and this prompted Musk to offer a cage match to his rival.

“I’m up for a cage match if he is, lol,” Musk said on Twitter. To which, Zuckerberg would reply with a classic: “Send location.” This was the main driving force behind their idea of a fight, and both they and MMA fans have run with the idea ever since.

Mark Zuckerberg claims fight may be off, wants UFC to hold the event for charity

“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on,” Mark Zuckerberg began on Twitter. “I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”

“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

And with that, it’s looking like fans might not be getting the Zuck vs Musk fight after all. Musk has dreams of the two men throwing down in the Colosseum, while it’s seeming Zuckerberg had a much more realistic idea that the two of them would square off inside a UFC octagon.

Do you think Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk will ever throw down?

Mark Zuckerberg was quick to put out the fire Elon Musk started on his recently-rebranded platform, X, on Friday.

The Titan of Tesla made waves in the mixed martial arts community when he dropped some interesting details regarding his proposed scrap with fellow tech guru Mark Zuckerberg. Musk claimed that he had spoken to the Prime Minister of Italy to secure an “epic location” for the social media smackdown and that their individual foundations would promote the event. Musk also made it a point to add that the UFC would not be involved.

The reveal drew comments from some of combat sports’ most notable names, including Conor McGregor and Jake Paul. But as it turns out, Musk may have been blowing a little bit of smoke.

Mark Zuckerberg Wants UFC or ONE Championship Involved in Musk Fight Promotion

Responding to Musk’s claims, Mark Zuckerberg debunked pretty much everything, revealing that he has not agreed to any of the details that Musk dropped on his platform.

“I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me,” Zuckerberg wrote. “If he ever agrees on an actual date, you’ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.”

Zuckerberg also addressed the suggestion that the UFC will not be involved in promoting the history-making matchup, adding that bringing the UFC or ONE Championship into the mix would only serve to promote the fight and bring some of MMA’s biggest names to the forefront.

“Not holding my breath for Elon, but I’ll share details on my next fight when I’m ready,” Zuckerberg added. “When I compete, I want to do it in a way that puts a spotlight on the elite athletes at the top of the game. You do that by working with professional orgs like the UFC or ONE to pull this off well and create a great card.”

While Elon Musk’s initial challenge to Mark Zuckerberg got the attention of their social media followers, things didn’t truly blow up until UFC President Dana White suggested that both men were 100% serious about stepping inside the cage for a clash. Removing the UFC’s massive marketing machine from one of the biggest fights in the history of combat sports would undoubtedly be a mistake.

It is also commendable that Mark Zuckerberg wants to use this as an opportunity to promote both the sport and its competitors. A clear sign that ‘The Zuck’ genuinely appreciates the sport of mixed martial arts and those who dedicate their lives to it.
