Mark Zuckerberg has now earned his blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Zuckerberg has quicky become big BJJ and fight fan, competing in a no-Gi and Gi competition as well as renting out the entire Apex for a UFC fight night.

The Facebook founder made headlines after taking up BJJ and has since become infatuated with it. For his efforts, Zuckerberg has now earned his blue belt and would post to Instagram-

“Congrats @davecamarillo on your 5th degree black belt. You’re a great coach and I’ve learned so much about fighting and life from training with you. Also honored to be promoted to compete at blue belt for @guerrillajjsanjose team.”

Mark Zuckerberg talks BJJ journey

Whether you like him or not, and factoring in the very questionable moral and business decisions he has made over his life, Zuckerberg does seem to really like the sport. For some, his presence is not something that they want, but Zuckerberg seems like he will floating around the community for some time.

Appearing on the Lex Friedman podcast, the 39-year-old discussed his martial arts journey.

“I’m a competitive person. Doing sports that basically require your full attention, I think is really important to my mental health and the way I just stay focused on doing everything I’m doing. So I decided to get into martial arts and it’s, it’s awesome,” Zuckerberg said.

“I got a ton of my friends into it. We all train together. We have a mini Academy in my garage. And one of my friends was like, Hey, we should go do a tournament. I was like, okay, yeah, let’s do it. I’m not gonna shy away from a challenge. I registered under my first and middle name, so Mark Elliot and it wasn’t until I actually like pulled all that stuff off right before I got on the mat that I think people knew it was me.” (H/T MiddleEasy)

Conor McGregor comments on Musk vs. Zuckerberg, offers update on his potential 2023 return

Conor McGregor is curious to see how things play out in a potential fight between billionaire tech gurus Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk.

It’s a fight that nobody in the world ever expected to see, and certainly, one nobody asked for. But where most people simply saw two social media moguls taking shots at one another online, UFC President Dana White saw dollar signs. White wasted no time, telling TMZ Sports that the co-founder of Facebook was 100% serious about facing the Titan of Telsa inside the Octagon. Since that revelation, Musk vs. ‘The Zuck’ has exploded into a full-blown spectacle, garnering the attention of every fan, promoter, and fighter in the free world.

That includes former champ-champ Conon McGregor who is admittedly interested in the billionaire beatdown, so long as it takes place inside the Octagon.

“I’m interested,” McGregor told Dailymail.com. “Are they gonna go ahead with it? Are they gonna make it happen? If it happens under the UFC banner, I’m with it. It has to happen under the UFC banner. Nice to happen under the UFC banner and then I’m with it. For sure, for sure, I’ll do a bit of work with [Elon]. I hope they go ahead with it. The pockets might be long but is the talk cheap?

Conor McGregor is Not Interested in Training Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg As He Prepares For His Own Return to the Octagon

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg was spotted training alongside City Kickboxing teammates and reigning UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski while Elon Musk has accepted an offer to train with Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre. Asked if he’d like to get into the act and help train either man for the highly anticipated social media smackdown, McGregor said he’s staying busy whilst preparing for his own return to the Octagon.

I’m training for my own fight,” McGregor responded.

That’s probably for the best considering Conor McGregor’s abysmal record on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter. The Irishman’s team has lost seven straight and is one defeat away from the first clean sweep in TUF’s nearly 20-year history.

As for when we can expect to see McGregor make his long-awaited return, the former two-division titleholder isn’t ruling out a 2023 comeback. “Listen, you can’t rule this year out, but we’re definitely gearing up for a strong matchup with Michael Chandler.

McGregor and Chandler were expected to scrap once their tenure as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter is complete, but that bout has been called into question after the Irishman failed to re-enter the USADA testing pool for a required six months of pre-fight screening. Despite that, McGregor and Dana White have insisted that the fight could still take place in 2023, suggesting that they know something the rest of us don’t.

Regardless of when it happens, McGregor sounds excited when talking about his return to the Octagon and appears to be fully recovered after suffering a nasty leg break in his last outing two years ago.

I’m feeling really good,” McGregor added. Really good. I’m ready to fight.”

Zuckerberg recent love affair with mixed martial art has caught the eye of fellow tech boss Elon Musk who goaded the Meta CEO into agreeing to an MMA fight.

Elon Musk was pictured alongside UFC legend Geroges St-Pierre (26-2 MMA) and his long-time coach John Danaher, showing fans a fight between him and Zuckerberg might not just be a fantasy.

Zuckerberg replied with a picture of him seemingly training with City Kickboxing’s teammates Volkanovski and Adesanya. However, fans taken aback by the astonishing physical condition of the 39-year-old, raising concerns about Musk’s chances.

MMA has well and truly encapsulated Mark Zuckerberg attention just a few years ago, so much so he has recently been taking part in Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions and winning.

Although Musk admitted he is out of shape, he does however have combat sports experience as he used to train in judo, Kyokushin karate, and taekwondo during his youth.

Some of Elon Musk’s fans have switched their predictions after seeing the recent picture of Zuckerberg.

“My money was originally on Musk but Zuck making a real strong case at this point,” one fan stated.

Another fan wrote: “This is not looking good for Elon, please get in shape. The future of social media hangs in the balance!” Elon gotta get rid of the pot belly and get in shape. Hate to say it, but if Zuck meets Elon in a ring, he’s destroying him in a min.”

Mark Zuckerberg Vs Elon Musk, could it happen?

Despite many people around the world doubting such a fight would ever materialise, with each passing day it seems more likely.

Even UFC boss, Dana White believes he is the one to get this generational mega-fight over the line, whilst also selling t-shirt merchandise to promote the possible clash.

Both Musk and Zuckerberg spent well over an hour on the phone with White to discuss the fight and plan to donate all the money they earn from their bout to charity.

Although it not all great news for fight fans, as White plans to sell the pay-per-view for an extravagant $100, which is considerably more than his typical $79.99.

Dana White has date in mind for Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: ‘It won’t be UFC 300’

UFC President Dana White is bound and determined to bring social media moguls Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk together for a billionaire beatdown inside the Octagon.

What started as a simple back-and-forth between two of the most influential tech figures in the world has morphed into a full-blown spectacle that could ultimately lead to the biggest fight in the history of the world. When, where, and even if the fight takes place has been speculated tirelessly by fans, fighters, and members of the media. But according to Dana White, both men are 100% on board, and though no official announcements have been made, the face of the UFC already has a date in mind for the social media smackdown.

“100 percent [they want to fight in the UFC],” White told TSN on Thursday. “I do [have a date in mind], I’ll announce it when we’re ready. It won’t be UFC 300.”

Dana White is Confident That Musk vs. Zuckerberg Will Be Sanctioned, One Way or Another

Early reports indicated that ‘The Zuck’ vs. the Titan of Tesla would go down at UFC 300 next year, but that is no longer the case according to White. With a date already picked out, the promotion will have to jump over a few more hurdles, including location and perhaps the biggest issue, sanctioning. With Musk carrying a significant size advantage over Zuckerberg, many have wondered if the promotion can even get the Nevada State Athletic Commission to sign off on the fight.

However, White is not overly concerned with getting sanctioned. Considering the amount of money that the fight is expected to generate, White knows that if one state won’t sanction it, another most certainly will

“Whoever says no, every other state and country will say yes,” White said with confidence. “A billion dollars in revenue, this fight” (h/t MMA Fighting).

As for a potential location, Las Vegas seems to be the likeliest scenario, but a recent report suggested that Italy’s Ministry of Culture’s Office contacted Zuckerberg’s team with an offer to host the fight inside Rome’s 2,000-year-old amphitheater, The Colosseum. The Italian government has denied that such an offer was made, but TMZ Sports stood by their original report and insisted that Zuckerberg’s team had forwarded the offer to Dana White.

Mark Zuckerberg

More than a decade since his last tweet, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg returned to the platform and took a shot at billionaire tech rival Elon Musk in spectacular fashion.

Musk and Zuckerberg have been taking shots at one another on social media after ‘The Zuck’ revealed a new app designed to compete with Twitter. ‘Threads’ launched on July 6 and is described as an “open and friendly public space for conversation.” To commemorate the launch of his Twitter-like platform, Zuckerberg returned to Twitter and took a shot at Musk using one of the world wide web’s most popular memes.

Last month, Elon Musk delivered a nonchalant challenge to Mark Zuckerberg following the announcement of his Threads app, suggesting the two social media moguls settle their differences in a cage match. The initial callout didn’t garner much attention from MMA fans, but Zuckerberg’s Khabib-style response and Dana White’s subsequent appearance on TMZ Sports sent media outlets into a frenzy when it turned out Musk’s challenge and Zuckerberg’s acceptance was legit.

Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg to Fight at the Roman Colosseum?

Since then, both men have been linked to a potential clash inside the Octagon at UFC 300 next year, a bout that could take place inside one of the seven wonders of the world, The Colosseum. Yes, that Colosseum.

Multiple MMA fighters have also come out of the woodwork, offering to train each man for the billionaire beatdown. Elon Musk appeared to accept an offer from UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre while Mark Zuckerberg was recently spotting rolling with reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci.

As for who comes out on top, sportsbooks currently have ‘The Zuck’ listed as a three-to-one favorite, though you cannot place a bet until the fight is officially announced.

And attempting to capitalize on suggestions of a potential future fight between Twitter owner, Musk, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Zuckerberg – Paul has offered to make his debut in professional mixed martial arts on a proposed card featuring the duo, taking on Liverpool prospect, Pimblett.

“I’ll be honest, I pitched it,” Logan Paul said on his podcast. “I pitched it internally, I pitched it to the [executives] that be, if Elon Musk and (Mark) Zuckerberg, I will do my UFC debut on the undercard, I’ll fight for free, for charity.”

“You know who I want to fight actually cause that b*tch ass Andrew Tate won’t fight me,” Logan Paul claimed. “Give me Paddy Pimblett. Give me ‘Paddy the Baddy’.
