Coming off a loss to Elias Theodorou, Sam Alvey will make a return to the Octagon next month, meeting Eric Spicely at UFC Fight Night 91.
Alvey (26-8) fell to 3-3 inside the Octagon and lost his second straight when he was bested by Theodorou earlier this month. Prior to the defeats, he had scored three straight wins over Dan Kelly, Cezar Ferreira and Dylan Andrews.
Spicely (8-0) was a competitor on The Ultimate Fighter 23, advancing to the semifinals despite losing to finalist Andrew Sanchez in the opening round.
UFC Fight Night 91 takes place July 13 from South Dakota with lightweights Tony Ferguson and Michael Chiesa headlining the card.
