Anthony “Showtime” Pettis is dealing with quite the situation this week.

Pettis was the victim of a serious incident on Thursday, as the former UFC and WEC Lightweight Champion discovered that three cars at his home were set on fire. According to a preliminary investigation done by Milwaukee police showed that an unknown suspect used an accelerant to light two of the cars on fire, ultimately leading to the third car catching and going up in flames as well.

It’s important to note that if there was any silver-lining in this awful story, it was the fact that the fire did not spread to Pettis’ home and most importantly, no one was hurt by the fire, which as seen in the photo posted by Pettis below, eventually got incredibly out of control.

The Milwaukee P.D. is currently looking for suspects, although none have been identified at this point.

Anthony Pettis issued the following statement regarding the incident via his official Instagram page:

I am a fighter. I won’t be defeated by this. I am also extremely confused and saddened by the events that occurred. I am grateful that no one was harmed by this cowardly act. My life as well as my loved ones were put in danger. I cannot understand why someone would want to hurt myself or my family. I will do everything I can to ensure that we find out who committed this crime and that they are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I’m constantly defending my choice to stay in this city. Regardless of the crimes that have been occurring lately, this is my home. I really hope the city that I rep has my back on this one and helps by reporting anything they know about this. #teampettis #250k

During his appearance on Monday’s edition of Ariel Helwani’s MMAFighting.com show, “The MMA Hour,” UFC Welterweight contender Matt Brown turned heads when he publicly related to Ronda Rousey’s comments about wanting to commit suicide after her loss to Holly Holm when he was stopped by Jake Ellenberger in his last fight.

Brown explained to Helwani why wins and losses aren’t the main focus for him in fights, claiming he just likes to know on Sunday that he gave it his all. As “The Immortal” told Helwani on Monday, his quick stoppage loss to the longtime veteran bothered him more than than most of his losses inside the Octagon.

“That was probably the toughest loss of my career and I’ll tell you why,” Brown told Helwani regarding his first-round TKO loss to Ellenberger at UFC 201 back in July. “My reasoning is that wins and losses have never been a huge thing to me, they have never been the primary focus. I just want to do the best I can, and be happy with myself on Sunday because I know I gave it my all, win or lose. That one I felt I didn’t give it all I had. I think I took it way for granted, and I didn’t show Jake enough respect and I learned the hard way.”

As Brown continued, he made the headline-grabbing comments about relating to Rousey’s reaction to her first Octagon loss to Holm, explaining that suicide did run through his thoughts while he was dealing with the crushing defeat.

“I delt with it really tough,” Brown said. “It was a tough one. You know, I probably felt like Ronda Rousey; I wanted to kill myself, which is after every loss, you know, we’re all the same. But you know what, I have three kids and I had to come home and be a role model to them. I had to get up the next morning and make breakfast, and show them that no matter how many times you get taken down, you get your ass up and do it again.

“Well, my point I guess is that you really do feel like you want to kill yourself. You feel like that low of a person. You get beat up like that in front of millions of people, your friends and family. You know, it’s not right to feel that way, and you shouldn’t feel that way, but you do feel that way. I’m fortunately mature enough to be able to handle those feelings and not act on them, obviously, but of course I guess it’s more of an expression that you really do feel that low at that time.”

On Monday, Urijah Faber announced on Ariel Helwani’s live podcast, The MMA Hour, that his MMA career will be over after his next fight, regardless of the outcome. Faber is fighting on December 17th in his hometown of Sacramento, California, taking on fellow lighter weight pioneer Brad Pickett.

“I’ve been kind of waiting for this, and this is actually going to be my last fight,” Faber told Helwani. “And it just feels right to do it in [Sacramento] in this new arena. It just feels like the right time and the right place. I’ve been waiting for this new arena to be built, I was waiting for that Dominick Cruz opportunity, and I feel like this is going to be an epic event and I can’t wait to do it in front of the people I love.”

Faber’s last fight, a loss to Jimmie Rivera at UFC 203, was the first time that he ever lost a three round, non-title fight in his entire MMA career. He had previously lost to Tyson Griffin in a title fight in Gladiator Challenge, which didn’t run five round fights, and Frankie Edgar in a five round non-title main event last year.
