Conor McGregor: UFC Will Need A F*cking Army To Take One Of My Titles After UFC 205

As noted, UFC President Dana White announced during his ESPN SportsCenter appearance on Tuesday that even if Conor McGregor does claim a second UFC title with a win over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November, he will still be forced to give up one of his titles and continue with his Octagon career as a champion of one UFC division.

Apparently this was something that “The Notorious” one was not aware of.

At the official UFC 205 ticket on-sale press conference held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday, the reigning UFC Featherweight Champion made it clear that he won’t be giving up any titles without a fight.

“They’re going to have to gather an army to try and take one of them (belts) off me, and that’s out straight,” McGregor said during the entertaining press conference for the big event, which will be the UFC’s first-ever event held in the state of New York.

The top PPV draw in the sport continued, “One’s going to be there, one’s going to be there, and I’m going to be picking and choosing who I want to destroy next. And that’s it.”

According to McGregor, who is known for his “Mystic Mac” predictions, which often come to fruition, he believes the 155-pound division will be the one that he “takes over the most.”

“I’m very happy with the 155-pound weight limit,” McGregor said. “I feel of all the divisions I’ve ran around and ran through, 155, I feel, will be the one where I take over the most. So, I look forward to that.”

Later in the presser, McGregor reiterated his belief that UFC will “need an army” to take one of his titles if he wins a second one from Alvarez in November.

“I’m going to wrap one (belt) on one shoulder, and I’m going to wrap the other on the other shoulder, and they’re going to need a f*cking army to come take them belts off me,” McGregor said.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. That theory was proven true yet again this week, as the UFC announced UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor vs. UFC Lightweight Eddie Alvarez for Alvarez’s 155-pound title as the main event for the UFC 205 pay-per-view in November.

Originally, it was believed that Alvarez would be defending his title against top-ranked contender Khabib Nurmagomedov at the show, however Alvarez reportedly missed the contract deadline, despite the fact Nurmagomedov claimed that he already signed his bout agreement for the proposed title fight.

And then “The Notorious” one struck.

McGregor took to social media last week and simply wrote, “Beg Me,” a comment directed to either the UFC or Alvarez, likely the former as opposed to the latter, regarding stepping up and fighting Alvarez at the November pay-per-view.

UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor is scheduled to take place at the world-famous Madison Square Garden arena in New York City on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Join us here at MMANews.com on 11/12 for live coverage of the UFC 205 PPV!

One of the more infamous stories in MMA history dates back to the early PRIDE days where MMA legend Wanderlei Silva and MMA fighter Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett reportedly got into a backstage fight at a show in Japan.

While that fight reportedly ended with Krazy Horse knocking out Wandy, video footage later surfaced showing him being choked out, in a separate incident, by Cristiano Marcello.

This weekend, history apparently repeated itself.

At the Rizin FF event in Japan this weekend, Bennett, who won his match on the show in spectacular fashion, called out “The Axe Murderer” in his post-fight interview (see above). Little did we know, this wasn’t their only interaction this weekend.

Video footage also surfaced showing Bennett and Silva getting into a verbal exchange at the hotel lobby ahead of the Rizin event in Tokyo this weekend. You can check out that video clip below.

Additionally, former UFC executive Campbell McClaren posted a photo of interaction that took place between Bennett and Silva backstage at the event itself this weekend. You can check out that photo below as well.

Nick Diaz hasn’t been off of suspension for his marijuana violation for that long, and he’s already flirting with disaster.

Tommy Chong of the famous “Cheech & Chong” comedy act took to social media this week to share a photo of himself and the Stockton, California native allegedly smoking an enormous joint.

Whether or not this was simply to attract attention or is something that USADA might be following up on remains to be seen. Regardless, above is the video and below is the photo, which Chong claims was taken this past Wednesday, September 21st.
