Juan Adams rips his next opponent in Greg Hardy in yet another interview leading up to their fight.

The former Fury FC amateur champion is not a fan of the former NFL star as he’s been taking shots at him for months now in order to get a fight under the UFC banner. That wish has been grated. Now, he is opening up on the reasons behind his dislike for Hardy.

Earlier this week it was reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that the UFC is close to finalizing a bout between the two heavyweight fighters at the upcoming UFC San Antonio event.

One of the reason is the fact that Hardy stated after his latest fight that he was “gonna make Bo Jackson look like a joke.” He also stated that he was going to be “the fights sports’ athlete version of what Michael Jordan could be.”

Juan Adams Sounds Off

This didn’t sit well with Adams who disagrees with Hardy being cocky about how his career will go despite only having a few fights under his belt.

“So on top of all those reasons, he’s just stupid on top of all of it,” Adams told MMAFighting. “And the stupidity aspect is really what bothered me more than anything. It really blows my mind and it’s almost incomprehensible how someone can be that delusional and that dumb.”

Juan Adams asked and his wish has been granted by the UFC to step into the Octagon to take on Greg Hardy.

On Wednesday, it was reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that the UFC is close to finalizing about between the two heavyweight fighters at the upcoming UFC San Antonio event. Each side has agreed to the fight, but contracts have not been officially signed as of this report.

This event takes place on July 20, 2019 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas and will air on ESPN. A headliner for the show has yet to be announced.

Every time that the former NFL player fights, he will get criticized due to his past history and the quality of his opponents. This is a personal bout between Hardy and Adams.

Plans

Adams has criticized Hardy through social media about Hardy’s past domestic issues. Thus, when fight night comes, he will be ready. In fact, Adams is so pumped up that when doing a recent interview, he made it known that he really wants to hurt and embarrass Hardy.

“It’s very personal,” Adams told BJPenn.com. “There’s a different feel to camp. We’re doing all the same stuff, focusing a little bit more on cardio, but there’s a little bit extra in every session.

“Honestly, you guys are going to see the best version of me to date… There’s bad blood in this fight. He’s going in there to take my head off. I’m going in there to embarrass this man. I really want to hurt him.”

Always the controversial figure, former NFL star Greg Hardy continues to intrigue the mixed martial arts (MMA) community.

Hardy comes off the first victory of his UFC career at UFC Fort Lauderdale. Now, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the Hardy camp is eying a return to the Octagon at the UFC 242 pay-per-view (PPV) from Abu Dhabi on September 7:

“Spoke to MMA agent Abe Kawa this morning on a number of different topics. One thing he mentioned is he’s going to explore the idea of Greg Hardy fighting in Abu Dhabi in September. Says Hardy has interest in fighting outside the U.S. and they like that potential timeframe.”

“The Prince Of War” began his MMA career undefeated with a 3-0 record. He earned a UFC fight after some impressive showings on “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.” He made his promotional debut in January, suffering a disqualification loss to Allen Crowder after landing an illegal knee.

Recently, Hardy rebounded by picking up his first victory. He knocked out Dmitry Smolyakov at UFC Ft. Lauderdale. It will be interesting to see the level of competition Hardy receives as he moves forward with his UFC run.
