The undefeated former Welterweight Cage Warriors champion Ian Garry will make his debut in MSG at UFC 268.

”The Future’ will square off against Jordan Williams (9-5), who lost his last fight to Mickey Gall by rear naked choke. The bout will take place in the Welterweight division. Garry is a highly touted prospect who was undefeated in his 7 bouts at Cage Warriors. He finished 5 of his 7 matches in the promotion. Garry mostly dominated anyone that would step in the octagon with him at Cage Warriors. The UFC announced the signing of the young prospect back in July.

The Cage Warriors promotion produced great talent over the years including Jack ‘Tank’ Shore, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor, and Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett just to name a few. Garry is only 23 years old and just turned to the pro circuit 2 years ago.

Madison Square Garden is a great way to start off a young career. ‘MSG’ is known as one of the greatest venue to perform in the world. Since MMA has been allowed in New York, it has held some of the best cards in recent history. It seems that Garry is excited to get his career in the UFC off and running at such a legendary venue.

Williams has lost 3 of his last 4 fights and is looking to derail the Garry hype train before it even gets a chance to get going down the rails.

UFC 268 will take place on November 6 and is already looking like the best upcoming card among many great events coming up. The event is headlining 2 highly anticipated rematches between Usman vs Covington 2 and Weili vs Namajunas rematch. The event also sees Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje go head to head with many other fantastic fights.

Who do you think will win at UFC 268? Ian Garry or Jordan Williams?

Ian Garry has become the 105th Cage Warriors fighter to transition to the UFC.

The 23-year-old has been one of the most exciting prospects in Europe for some time now. He made good on his potential last month when he dominated Jack Grant over five rounds to claim welterweight gold at CW 125.

Ahead of that bout, ‘The Future’ insisted he would be pursuing a UFC contract rather than defend his title in Cage Warriors.

“I want the Cage Warriors belt, and I want to sign for the UFC,” Garry said in an interview with LowKickMMA. “As long as the UFC are the main platform for MMA, with all the best fighters in the world there, that’s where I’m going to want to be and that’s where I’m going to want to win the belt. I want to be the best fighter. I want to be one of the greatest to ever do this and I’m only going to get to that level in the UFC. So, win this belt and then see what happens next.

On Friday, speculation about Garry signing with the UFC started to gather pace when it was revealed he had been added to the promotions rankings tool.

The Irishman confirmed his “inevitable” UFC move with a video post on social media later that evening – check it out.

The latest potential superstar to emerge from Cage Warriors, Ian Garry, is dead set on joining the UFC after fighting one more time for the London-based MMA promotion.

Garry (6-0) is due to compete for the Cage Warriors welterweight title later this month. He’ll take on Jack Grant in the final of the 170lb tournament on June 26.

In an interview with LowKickMMA ahead of the bout, Garry revealed his plan is to move onto the UFC after picking up welterweight gold by stopping Grant.

“I want the Cage Warriors belt, and I want to sign for the UFC,” Garry said.

The idea of becoming a two-weight world champion with Cage Warriors is one that appeals to Garry but it’s not something he considers necessary before moving on to MMA’s premier promotion.

“I’ve already said I’d like to be a two-weight world champion,” Garry stated. “But, it’s kinda like, I’ve seen Mason Jones go in and he was a two-weight world champion and everyone bigged him up for being the next big thing and then he goes into the UFC and loses. I love Mason. I’ve got nothing against Mason but what’s the point of being a two-weight world champion and then going into the UFC and losing your first fight? I know, it’s a tough fight against Mike Davis. Like, that was a great scrap, it was a really good debut for Mason. But I don’t see the benefit or need to move up a weight class.”

Do you think Ian Garry will join the UFC if he is victorious against Jack Grant at Cage Warriors 125?
