Jake Paul believes a fight between him and former dual UFC champion Conor McGregor “is bound to happen”.

The 23-year-old made a successful professional boxing debut in January taking out fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib inside one round. Paul is now set to challenge former NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr which takes place on November 28.

McGregor is due to square off against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 before setting up his second professional boxing match. The Irishman previously fell to a tenth-round TKO loss at the hands of Floyd Mayweather in 2017. If everything goes to plan ‘Notorious’ will box against eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao. Paul believes McGregor should avoid an “embarrassing night” against the Filipino boxing legend and instead face him in 2021.

“There’s no other fighter with as big of a platform as me that’s calling him out right now,” Paul told CBS Sports. “He wants to fight Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao will destroy him. It will be another embarrassing night for him, just like when he got embarrassed by Floyd (Mayweather).

“So, Jake Paul versus Conor McGregor is bound to happen. I know he’s seen these interviews, I know he’s seen the shit talk. It’s gonna happen.” (Transcribed by The Score)

On Wednesday Paul was talking up his boxing ability while taking shots at several MMA fighters including McGregor.

“That level of competition is harder than what these MMA guys are bringing,” Paul said of his sparring partners. “These MMA guys have to go into the gym and have to worry about elbows and kicks and Jiu-Jitsu and takedowns and takedown defense all this extra stuff. I’m only boxing. So, when they come into the boxing ring, my skillset is higher than theirs right now. I’m ready for these guys right now. So, Ben Askren, Masvidal, the McGregor’s they’re going to get the smoke and people will see.”

Jake Paul has doubled down on his call out of elite level MMA fighters Ben Askren, Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor.

The Youtube star turned boxer who is set to face off against former NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. previously talked up his chances in the boxing ring against the three previously mentioned men.

In an interview with Barstool Sports Paul doubled down on those claims. He believes after some seriously high-level boxing sparring he is ready to make the jump and face off against actual fighters.

“I’m ready for that jump right now,” Paul said. “Ay, it sounds crazy but look, I’m sparring high, high-level professional boxers in Las Vegas. Undefeated guys, guys who are golden gloves amateur champions, guys with 25 pro fights, guys who are Caleb Plant’s sparring partners, guys who are Canelo’s sparring partners. I’m fighting guys with WBA, WBC championships belts and I’m head to head with them”

Paul believes he has already surpassed the boxing level of most MMA fighters and is willing to prove it by facing off against the likes of Askren, Masvidal, and McGregor in the squared circle.

“That level of competition is harder than what these MMA guys are bringing. These MMA guys have to go into the gym and have to worry about elbows and kicks and Jiu-Jitsu and takedowns and takedown defense all this extra stuff. I’m only boxing. So, when they come into the boxing ring, my skillset is higher than theirs right now. I’m ready for these guys right now. So, Ben Askren, Masvidal, the McGregor’s they’re going to get the smoke and people will see.

“I have to prove myself. I’m talking a lot,” Paul concluded. “I know I’m talking a lot but it’s because I’m confident. So, November 28 it will be the first steppingstone of ‘wow he beat an actual athlete.’ Then after that once I take down a professional MMA fighter. I think that’s when people will turn their heads and be like ‘ok, this kid wasn’t just saying sh*t to blow smoke.’”

Jake Paul: Everyone’s Calling Me Out Because I’m At The Top Of The Food Chain

Jake Paul believes he knows the reason why everyone is calling him out.

The popular YouTuber is set for his second professional boxing bout when he takes on former NBA guard Nate Robinson on the undercard of the upcoming Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view event taking place November 28 at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.

Ahead of his fight, a number of figures have called him out. Some include YouTube vloggers like Austin McBroom while Paul’s own brother Logan is also seemingly interested in throwing down. Many from the mixed martial arts world have called him out in the past as well such as Dillon Danis.

For Paul, there is only one reason why that is the case.

“Everyone’s calling me out. I start boxing now every influencer thinks they’re a boxer,” Paul said in a recent interview (via MiddleEasy). “Austin McBroom wants to fight me, Logan wants to fight me, KSI wants to fight me, Ben Askren wants to fight me, Dillon Danis wants to fight me, but they’re all going to get the smoke.

“I’m just at the top of the food chain so of course everyone is going to look up and be like ‘I want to fight that guy,’ because they’re going to pop off once they fight me.”

While Paul is open to fights with any of the aforementioned figures, his goals still remain extremely high.

The 23-year-old recently called for boxing matches with Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal among others to show that he was a legitimate boxer with knockout power.

While they seem highly unlikely for the time being, an impressive performance against Robinson later this month might kick the wheels in motion for other big fights.

YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul wants to prove he has legit skills by taking on UFC stars in crossover fights, namely Ben Askren, Jorge Masvidal, and Conor McGregor.

The 23-year-old made a successful professional boxing debut in January taking out fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib inside one round. Paul is now set to challenge former NBA player Nathaniel Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr which takes place on November 28.

Speaking on the Mayweather Boxing Channel, Paul expressed his desire to prove he is a real fighter and a legitimate boxer.

“I want to prove to people that I’m a legitimate boxer, a legitimate professional boxer with skill and someone that people should be scared of,” Paul said. “I have knockout power, I’m dangerous, and to me that’s super important and again, that’s just going to take multiple fights to prove that.

Paul then proceeded to list off the UFC fighters he is interested in squaring off against.

“I want to fight the biggest names in the sport, I want to take UFC fighters like Ben Askren, like Masvidal, whoever it is and bring them over to boxing, put them in a ring and go head-to-head with them. I want to fight Conor McGregor eventually. Whoever wants to get in the boxing ring with me, I want to be able to do it and beat them.” (Transcribed by Talk Sport)

Former Bellator and ONE championship titlist Ben Askren is now retired from fighting. Even at his prime ‘Funky’ was known for his elite-level wrestling skills and not much else. So, that’s something of a strange call out from Paul and a fight that certainly will not be happening.

Masvidal and McGregor on the other hand are talented strikers who have both shown an interest in boxing professionally. ‘Gamebred’ has been linked to a fight with boxing superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. McGregor has fought Floyd Mayweather and is believed to be taking his second professional boxing bout against Manny Pacquiao in 2021. It remains to be seen if either man would be interested in fighting Paul.

YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul had a surprise visit from an army of federal agents earlier this week. His upcoming fight against former NBA player Nate Robinson now appears to be at risk of falling apart.

On July 23 it was announced Paul and Robinson would be competing on the undercard of an event headlined by heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson who will fight for the first time in fifteen years when he takes on Roy Jones Jr. on September 12.

The FBI told ABC7 that the raid on Paul’s house was in connection to a riot at an Arizona shopping mall in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.

“The FBI is investigating allegations of criminal acts surrounding the incident at Scottsdale Fashion Square in May 2020,” the bureau said in a statement while clarifying that no arrests were immediately planned.

According to ABC7 several firearms were seized during the raid, “including a long gun propped up against a hot tub in the backyard.”

Check out footage of the raid below…

Earlier this year Paul made his professional boxing debut on the undercard of Logan Paul vs. KSI 2. He picked up a first-round TKO victory over fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib. It is unclear how or if his upcoming bout scheduled for September 12 will be impacted by this ongoing legal problem.

If you needed more crazy news, YouTuber Jake Paul will be boxing former NBA guard Nate Robinson on the undercard of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. event.

It was officially announced earlier today that Tyson would come out of retirement to face fellow former heavyweight champion Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match taking place September 12 in California.

If that news wasn’t crazy enough, it was soon announced that Paul and Robinson would also be competing on the undercard of the event. The news was first broken by NBA reporter Shams Charania with quotes from the pair.

“I wanted to show that I’m a world class athlete,” Robinson said. “I played college football, played in the NBA for 11 years, and I’m excited to venture into the sport of boxing. Jake Paul, I want all the smoke.”

“I am excited to partner with Triller and get in the ring to fight an elite athlete,” Paul said. “But make no mistake, on September 12th, Nate will meet the canvas early.”

Robinson replied to the tweet soon after as well.

Paul Set For Second Boxing Bout

Paul made his professional boxing debut in January earlier this year when he TKO’d fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib.

And while Robinson has no professional boxing experience, he will undoubtedly be a much tougher foe given his athletic background.
