Jarrell Miller has made a rather interesting observation ahead of his clash with Anthony Joshua.

Speaking at last week’s pre-fight press conference in New York, Miller said Joshua isn’t even the biggest name in his native United Kingdom anymore, as it pertains to boxing. Instead, he believes Tyson Fury has overtaken that role (via Boxing Scene):

“The facial can’t fight for him, the fans can’t fight for him, he’s not the popular one, all I hear is Tyson Fury now — he (Joshua) is a sucker.”

Miller sports a 23-0-1 record and will be challenging for Joshua’s WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. The fight goes down from Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 1st. “Big Baby” declared his plan is to stop the heavyweight great inside seven rounds:

I don’t need to think, I’ll just get it done. You’ve got to go b***s to b***s. If I ever doubted myself I would not have made it this far,” Miller said.

“The game plan’s to stop him in seven rounds. You know how I feel about AJ, and my backstory and where I come from and where we’re going.”

This will be Joshua’s fighting debut in the United States. With a potential win, perhaps the Englishman is setting up for a big money fight against either WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.

Jarrell Miller does not appreciate Tyson Fury’s recent comments about him.

“The Gypsy King” recently said that he once knocked Miller down several times in a sparring session (via Metro UK):

“I hired him for two weeks sparring, I ended up sending him back home after one day,” said Fury. “I put him down seven times in the first spar and sent him packing back to the USA.”

However, during a recent interview with iFL TV, Miller refuted those claims, also taking shots at Fury’s past issues with addiction. “Big Baby” added in “It’s never happened”:

“I seen Tyson Fury hump a donkey seven times. What the f*** bro? People just talk s*** cos it sounds good bro. It’s never happened. It’s never happened.

“I’ve hit Tyson Fury with so many left hooks in the head and body in the one camp I went to it’s amazing.”

Miller is currently gearing up for the biggest fight of his career. He’ll face WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. They’ll main event from Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 1st. Joshua is undefeated at 22-0, with 21 of his wins coming by way of knockout.

As for Miller, he is also undefeated in his boxing career as well. He sports a record of 23-0-1. In his last fight, he defeated Bogdan Dinu with a fourth round knockout. Should Miller defeat Joshua, it will be one of the biggest upsets the division has ever seen.

Anthony Joshua will make his United States debut very soon.

The WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion will defend his throne against Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller from Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 1st. Many fans have been calling for Joshua to fight either Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder next.

However, with Fury recently signing with ESPN, Wilder with Showtime, and Joshua with DAZN, any of those match-ups are looking very unlikely. Fury spoke to The Sun recently, and was asked about Joshua’s fight against Miller. Fury revealed he once sparred with Miller inside the ring, and ended up dropping the American seven times (via Talk Sport):

“I was back home in Morecambe and I needed a sparring partner,” Fury said. “The first person that sprang to mind was Jarrell Miller, I thought he’ll be good sparring for me.

Obviously I wasn’t a world champion at the time, he came over to Morecambe and we sparred at a local gym. I’m not going to go into too much detail, but I hired him for two weeks sparring, I ended up sending him back home after one day sparring.

“I put him down seven times in the first spar and I sent him home packing back to the USA.”

Miller currently holds an undefeated record of 23-0-1. In his last fight, he defeated Bogdan Dinu back in November with a fourth-round knockout. He’s hoping to defeat Joshua, who is also undefeated at 22-0 with 21 of those wins coming by knockout.

If Miller is able to pull off the upset over Joshua, it would be one of the biggest in the sport’s history.
