UFC commentator Joe Rogan details a recent Las Vegas trip and witnessing UFC President, Dana White, gamble.

Over the years, White has gained a reputation for a heavy gambler, who has a particular fondness for blackjack. The 54-year-old has documented him being kicked out of and being unable to play at casinos after some successful runs at the tables. Some casinos and sportsbooks will often ban, or limit customers who are deemed too successful.

“The Palm has kicked me out of there twice, the Mirage, the Wynn will not let me play,” White said to GQ. “The only places that will let me play in town are Cesar’s Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian, all of those guys take really big play, but if you are a big player and you come into town you’re insane not to play at Caesar’s Palace. Caesar’s Palace is by far the best casino in the world.” (H/T Mirror)

Joe Rogan shares another Dana White gambling story

Talking on his podcast, Rogan shared a story about a trip to Las Vegas, in which he would see White wager some

“Shane Gillis is doing a spot at the Mirage, I came to hang out – we’re all having fun,” Rogan began. Then he goes, hey ‘we’re going to go gamble with Dana’ and I’m like, ‘oh my god, do you know how hard he gambles?’

Dana White was gambling and he was down $600,000 playing blackjack.”

Rogan then brings up a video which shows White on a recent vacation, he can be seen gambling with large sacks of cash on his boat.

“This is Dana, has on vacation on the Amalfi coast and he brings a casino,” Rogan said. “He had a casino come to him. Look, he’s got stacks of cash.

“That’s a sickness, he brought a goddamn casino to his boat.”

Donald Trump ally Roger Stone wants to fight Joe Rogan after declining former president’s podcast pitch

Donald Trump

Former U.S. President Donald Trump may get a lot of love from Dana White, but he won’t get the same treatment from long-time commentator and popular podcaster Joe Rogan.

Rogan has established himself as one of the world’s most popular media figures thanks to his immensely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Averaging 11 million listeners per episode, an appearance on the show is an incredible opportunity to expand one’s brand and reach an unprecedented number of people.

Over the years, Donald Trump has made several pitches in an effort to get on the program, but they have all fallen on deaf ears thus far. As it turns out, Rogan has zero interest in giving ’45’ a platform to further his wildly-inept political career.

“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form,” Rogan previously told Lex Fridman. “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

Joe Rogan Again Rejected Donald Trump Following His Appearance at UFC 290

Joe Rogan once again declined Trump access to his studio following the ex-President’s appearance at UFC 290 earlier this month, a slight that did not sit well with Trump’s political ally Roger Stone. In an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Stone challenged Joe Rogan to a scrap inside the Octagon.

“I know I can definitely take him,” Stone told Jones (via Daily Beast). “I hit the heavy bag for an hour every Saturday.”

We’re not sure how Roger Stone manages to get an hour in on the heavy bag every week with his busy schedule cosplaying as a Dick Tracy villain, but kudos to him.

“The mere discussion of Donald Trump on a blockbuster podcast like Joe Rogan builds a remarkable audience,” a Trump adviser told Daily Beast. “Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last — it would be an incredible audience.”

Looks like Donald Trump will have to stick to exchanging forced pleasantries with Joe Rogen whenever he decides to show up for a UFC event.

Fans call for Joe Rogan to be included in EA Sports’ recently-announced UFC 5 video game

After years of keeping combat sports fans waiting, EA Sports finally announced its long-awaited UFC 5 video game.

No official release date has been revealed as of yet, but the game is expected to receive a full reveal in September, more than three years removed from the release of the series’ last entry in August 2020. Upon hearing the announcement, fans flocked to social media and unanimously demanded that the game include long-time color commentator, Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan is Not a Fan of Doing Voiceover Work for UFC Games

While the game does include commentary, UFC 4 only features play-by-play man Jon Anik and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier. However, the decision to omit Rogan from the franchise came from the popular podcaster himself, and not EA Sports.

“He hasn’t been shy about saying this on his own podcast; like, he hates doing it,” Creative Director Brian Hayes told GameSpot back in 2020. “If you’re not a person that [can] mentally get into that space, then I can see how it could be a very, you know, challenging, potentially mind-numbing experience for a certain type of individual.”

Rogan’s voice has been featured in past UFC games, but his dislike for doing voiceover work forced EA Sports to go another route.

“He was open with us from the very beginning that he hated his experience of doing voiceover on previous iterations of other UFC games, and things were no different for us,” Hayes said. “He hated doing voiceover on these games as well. That has nothing to do with us in particular, or, you know, our games versus other games. He just does not like sitting in a booth reading lines for hours at a time.”

With his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ taking up a significant amount of his time, the former Fear Factor host has even limited his duties at the commentary table, only appearing at pay-per-view events in the United States. That means you won’t hear Rogan’s beloved calls of “He hurt him!” in September or October as the promotion heads back to Australia and then Abu Dhabi this fall.

Joe Rogan returns to commentary duty at UFC 290 after missing Canada trip

Veteran UFC color-commentator, Joe Rogan is set to serve in a three-man commentary booth this weekend at UFC 290 – returning to duty ahead of the International Fight Week pay-per-view event.

Rogan, who returns to a commentary-booth featuring play-by-play favortie, Jon Anik, as well as his fellow color-commentator, former undisputed UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, had missed duty at UFC 289.

With the Octagon returning to Canada for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, Joe Rogan was replaced on pay-per-view duty for the flagship event by former UFC lightweight contender, Paul Felder.

And despite missing a rather usual scheduled trip to Canada – Joe Rogan will be on hands, or mic, rather, to call a pair of championship fights this weekend in the promotion’s return to Las Vegas for a pay-per-view event. (H/T MMA Fighting)

Taking co-main event status at UFC 290, undisputed flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno takes on former two-time foe, Alexandre Pantoja – attempting to avenge both Ultimate Fighter and UFC Fight Night Chile losses to the Brazilian title challenger.

In the night’s headliner, featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski looks to defend his status as champion and unify the division titles as he tackles the surging interim division gold holder, Yair Rodríguez.

Attempting to rebound from his first promotional loss, Volkanovski failed in his pursuit of undisputed lightweight gold at UFC 284 back in February, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Islam Makhachev in Perth, Australia.

As for Chihuahua native, Rodríguez – the interim gold holder managed to land gold that same night ‘Down Under’, stopping recent headliner, Josh Emmett with a stunning second round triangle choke submission win.

Also featuring on the main card in a high-profile pairing, former undisputed middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker returns to the Octagon – taking on surging South African contender, Dricus du Plessis in an officially billed title-eliminator bout. The victor of the man card collision is pegged to fight current and two-time division champion, Israel Adesanya later this year to boot.

Joe Rogan describes rumored BKFC fight between Conor McGregor, Mike Perry as ‘F*cking bananas’

Joe Rogan describes BKFC fight Mike Perry and Conor McGregor as f*cking bananas

With the duo facing off inside the ring at a BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) event back in April, UFC color-commentator, Joe Rogan has claimed a potential future fight between promotional-perfect puncher, Mike Perry, and former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor as “f*cking bananas”.

Perry, a former welterweight contender under the banner of the UFC, departed the promotion back in 2021, before linking up with the David Feldman-led BKFC the following year.

So far boasting an undefeated 3-0 record in the organization, Perry racked up a pair of consecutive decision wins over The Ultimate Fighter alum, Julian Lane, before then defeating former Bellator MMA welterweight title challenger, Michael Page in London last year.

Returning this year in Broomfield, Colorado, Perry landed an eventual TKO retirement win over former UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold in a bloody war for as long at it lasted.

Mike Perry faced off with Conor McGregor in the ring earlier this year

Surprisingly, Perry was met in the ring by Conor McGregor, who was sporting a BKFC championship belt, and reflected on the encounter during a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.

“He (Conor McGregor) was moving all over the place and I stood my ground,” Mike Perry said. “I stood so still and I couldn’t be wavered or moved. He was moving all over the place. I mean, that says that he was free in that moment to do so, obviously. But, it was me respectfully calling him out, which shows the professional in martial arts that I have been for so many years.”

“How do you call a man out in a sport that he has a family and you guys want to hurt each other and they can honor it in a fair way and promote it to be entertaining?” Mike Perry asked.

As far as Rogan is concerned, however, a future fight between McGregor and Perry under the BKFC banner, albeit unlikely, would be staggering.

“If he (Conor McGregor) decided to do that – if somehow or another they [the UFC] gave him the green light to do that, I can’t imagine how that could ever happen, but if it did – if that happened in a bare knuckle fight, that would be f*cking bananas,” Joe Rogan said.”

“He’s a very good kicker, he can do everything, but if somehow or another he agreed to fight bare knuckle, I mean, Jesus Christ, you know how big that would be?” Rogan explained. “That would be wild. If they did that in bare knuckle, it would be a million pay-per-view buys at least – probably more.” (Transcribed by MMA Fighting)
