Former UFC middleweight title contender Patrick Cote (14-7) registered a win this past Saturday, taking a successful first step in his campaign to return to the UFC.
In the main event of Ringside MMA 10 in Montreal, Cote outpointed Kalib Starnes 29-28 on all three of the judges’ scorecards for the unanimous decision. Cote, who was cut last fall by the UFC after three straight losses, earned his first win since UFC 86 in July 2008.
