Khamzat Chimaev issues wanring to Kamaru Usman I'm going to squeeze your head off UFC

Undefeated welterweight contender, Khamzat Chimaev has called for a fight with former undisputed UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman – vowing to “squeeze” the head from the Auchi native.

Chimaev, who dropped from the #3 rank in the official welterweight pile off the back of Belal Muhammad’s one-sided unanimous decision win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 288 earlier this month, has yet to return to the Octagon since headlining UFC 279 back in September of last year.

Improving to 12-0 as a professional against short-notice opponent, Kevin Holland, the Chechen-born contender latched onto a stunning opening round D’Arce choke submission victory against the striker.

As for Usman, the former pound-for-pound number one suffered his second consecutive championship fight loss to three-time opponent, Leon Edwards at UFC 286 back in March, dropping a close, majority decision loss to the Birmingham native.

Welcoming a quickfire return to the Octagon in the form of a fight with Chimaev, Usman was urged to pursue a middleweight fight with the unbeaten contender, with UFC boss, Dana White shutting down a proposed catchweight clash.

Khamzat Chimaev claims the UFC has approached him with a fight

Sharing a similar interest in a potential title-eliminator against the Nigerian next, Chimaev issued a stark warning to the former pound-for-pound topper.

“UFC told us we have a fight in Abu Dhabi, so that’s what I’m waiting for,” Khamzat Chimaev said on his YouTube channel. “I’m already here in Dubai, living here, training camp, everything is good, so I’ve been in shape a long time ago. I’ve been in Thailand training camp, I’ve been here training camp, I’ve been in Sweden training, so just waiting for the opponent and the contract, so we’ll see what’s going to happen.”

“I want to say to (Kamaru) Usman, I am ready, just sign the contract,’ Khamzat Chimaev explained. “Let’s fight. Let’s make money. You want the money, you want the money, let’s go. I’m going to squeeze your head off. …Let’s go, let’s fight. The weight classes, if you feel the best, you don’t need to speak about weight class. I feel the best, for me it doesn’t matter, I cut on fight night to [170 pounds] or [185 pounds], all weight classes. I’m the king.”

Khamzat Chimaev betting favorite to beat Kamaru Usman this year UFC

Undefeated welterweight contender, Khamzat Chimaev has emerged as quite the decent betting favorite to compile misery on former division champion, Kamaru Usman – and hand the Nigerian a third straight Octagon defeat.

Chimaev, who boasts an undefeated 12-0 professional record, has been linked with a return to the Octagon at UFC 294 in October on ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE – as part of the organization’s return to the Middle East for this year.

As for Usman, the Auchi native is targeting a quickfire return to the Octagon following a second career loss to division kingpin, Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC 286 back in March in London, England – dropping a close, majority decision defeat to the hometown product.

Khamzat Chimaev opening as betting favorite over Kamaru Usman

However, despite his calls for a timely comeback to the Octagon in a bid to snap a two-fight losing skid, former pound-for-pound number one fighter, Usman has opened as a betting underdog (+135) to defeat the unbeaten, Khamzat Chimaev – who opens as a resounding (-155) favorite.

Polskie kasyna online can help pick markets to further place bets and wagers on combat sports including the UFC, as both welterweight contenders, Chimaev and Usman continue to find themselves linked to an end-of-year showdown.

A potential roadblock to a fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman comes in the form of an apparent leap to middleweight for the former, with Usman urged to pursue a similar move by UFC leader, Dana White – who has shot down a suggested catchweight contest between the pair.

“I don’t do catchweights – don’t do it,” Dana White said during a recent media scrum following UFC Vegas 73 over the course of last weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. “So, you know how Khamzat (Chimaev) is. If you talk sh*t to Khamzat, he’s going to go right at it with you and doesn’t care who he fights and all that stuff. I don’t know. Obviously, we’ve been making a lot of announcements lately, we haven’t made that announcement yet because we don’t have the fight done yet, but, we’re working on stuff for Khamzat.”

Struggling with weight cutting issues two of his three most recent walks at the welterweight limit, AllStars MMA staple, Khamzat Chimaev failed to ship a stunning seven and a half pounds for a scheduled UFC 279 main event with promotional alum, Nate Diaz back in September.

Instead facing Californian striker, Kevin Holland in an impromptu catchweight matchup in a demoted co-main event fight on the pay-per-view card, Khamzat Chimaev improved to 12-0 with a devastating first round D’Arce choke submission success at the T-Mobile Arena.

A career welterweight, Usman had landed the division’s undisputed crown in a one-sided judging win over Tyron Woodley back in March 2019, before landing consecutive successful title defenses against Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal – both twice, as well as common-foe and former training partner, Gilbert Burns.

Furthermore, boasting a promotional-perfect Octagon record prior to his stunning back-to-back defeats to Edwards, Usman captured The Utlimate Fighter 21 welterweight crown with a submission success over Hayder Hassan back in 2015.

Kamaru Usman offers to fight Khamzat Chimaev in UFC return before title siege

Kamaru Usman is on a mission to get his hands on the Swedish destroyer Khamzat Chiamev, according to Dana White at the press conference following the Dern vs Hill fight night in the UFC Apex.

It wouldn’t be the first time Kamaru Usman has called for the match-up against Chimaev, who struggled to make the welterweight limit the last time we seen him attempt to cut to 170lbs. He told Brett Okamoto of ESPN that he thought the fight could be made, and now it would appear the fighter is set on making it happen.

Kamaru Usman may appear to be making life difficult for himself, but he must make an emphatic statement should he wish to have a fourth chance against Leon Edwards. In steps the undefeated berzerker Khamzat Chimaev, who hasn’t been seen since walking through Kevin Holland in September of last year. Whilst it would surely be one of the fights of the year, boss man Dana White may have some reservations about putting the fight together.

Chimaev weight struggles in the way of Kamaru Usman mega fight?

Khamzat Chimaev, for all his talents, struggles to get to 170lbs. Originally scheduled to face fan favorite at welterweight last time out, the entire card had to be reshuffled, as Chimaev could not make the agreed weight. Since then, White has been adamant that middleweight should be the Chechen-born grappler’s home.

This did not stop Usman from attending a meeting in aid of his cause, to persuade White that the fight should go ahead. Although complementary to the former champions’ work ethic, he reinforced the idea that catchweight fights are off the table.

“I think that it’s a fight that Usman wants. That’s no secret. Usman literally came to the office to lobby for that fight. I told him I love him. Usman is one of the best guys we’ve ever worked with. I love working with the guy. You know, look at all the things he’s accomplished. I don’t do catchweight. Don’t do it.”

You can catch the full press conference here:

While that will be a disappointing revelation to most, we can only hope the pair agree to meet somewhere, whether it be 170lb or 185 lbs.

Who have you got should the pair ever meet in the cage?

Khamzat Chimaev touted to fight Paulo Costa in his UFC return this year training to smash

Still expected to make his Octagon return in October at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Khamzat Chimaev has been tipped to still fight with former middleweight title challenger, Paulo Costa in his Octagon comeback, by friend and training partner, Darren Till.

Chimaev, who boasts as undefeated 12-0 professional record, slipped from the #3 rank in the official welterweight rankings earlier this month following a significant period of activity.

Limited to just two Octagon walks last year, the Chechen-born contender most recently co-headlined UFC 279 back in September last, submitting Kevin Holland in a dominant opening round D’Arce choke triumph.

And recently engaging in a war of words with former undisputed welterweight champion and pound-for-pound number one, Kamaru Usman, Chimaev has been backed to fight at UFC 294 in October – in a middleweight division return.

Khamzat Chimaev insists he has been trying to secure a UFC comeback

Denying claims from UFC president Dana White that “personal stuff” has limited his ability to compete under the organization’s banner, Chimaev has been touted as preparing for a fight with the above-mentioned, Costa by former UFC title challenger, Till.

“@KChimaev (Khamzat Chimaev) [is] training hard to smash @BorrachinhaMMA (Paulo Costa),” Darren Till tweeted.

Despite remaining confident a matchup between the two occurs, Costa has already been booked to make his Octagon return after voicing displeasure with a sidelining until October, with the Belo Horizonte native set to Ikram Aliskerov at UFC 291 on July 29. in Salt Lake City, Utah – in a truly surprising matchup.

Prior to his first round submission win over Holland at a catchweight limit, AllStars MMA staple, Chimaev turned in a Fight of the Year candidate against former title challenger, Gilbert Burns in April of last year, landing a close, tightly-contested unanimous decision success in Jacksonville, Florida.

Kamaru Usman predicts finish over Khamzat Chiamev in UFC clash I stop him in 4

Former undisputed UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman has predicted a stoppage victory over welterweight contender, Khamzat Chimaev in a potential future fight between the duo – with rumors linking the pair to a potential showdown later this year.

Usman, the current #1 ranked welterweight contender, has been sidelined since he headlined UFC 286 back in March in London, England – suffering a close, majority decision loss to Leon Edwards in the pair’s championship trilogy rubber-match.

As for Chimaev, the Chechen-born contender slipped from his #3 rank in the division earlier this month, amid a string of inactivity since September of last year.

Expected to return to the Octagon at the middleweight limit having missed weight for a scheduled UFC 279 showdown with Nate Diaz by seven and a half pounds last year, Chimaev eventually shared the co-main event bracket against Kevin Holland in a catchweight contest at the T-Mobile Arena.

Moving to 12-0 as a professional with a victory at the event, Chimaev submitted the above-mentioned Riverside striker, Holland, with an opening round D’Arce choke submission win in the early goings of their clash.

Expected to return at UFC 294 in October in tandem with the Octagon’s return to Abu Dhabi, UAE, Chimaev had received a surprising call out from former pound-for-pound number one, Usman – who has since been urged to move to the middleweight limit to secure a fight with the former, by UFC leader, Dana White.

Kamaru Usman predicts stoppage win over Khamzat Chimaev in future clash

However, predicting success against Chimaev in a potential future fight, Usman went as far as predicting he would be the first to both beat and even stop the AllStars MMA staple.

“I stop him [Khamzat Chimaev] in 4 (rounds),” Kamaru Usman tweeted on Thursday night. “Watch the tapes.”

Khamzat Chimaev facetimes controversial kickboxer Andrew Tate

Khamzat Chimaev and Andrew Tate, two of the most polarizing figures in all of combat sports, recently FaceTimed one another.

Usually a welterweight, sometimes a middleweight, Khamzat Chimaev has been one of the most hyped fighters in all of mixed martial arts. Kicking off his UFC career with three wins in the span of two months, fans were immediately enamored with the undefeated Chechen monster. In recent months, ‘Borz’ has taken on somewhat of a villain role after unapologetically weighing in eight pounds over the limit for his previously scheduled main event clash with Nate Diaz at UFC 279 last September.

The Unlikely Friendship of Khamzat Chimaev and Andrew Tate

Khamzat Chimaev embracing his villainous role in the UFC makes his recent interaction with controversial social media sensation Andrew Tate not all that surprising. ‘Borz’ recently shared a minute-long video of himself conversing with the British-American kickboxing star on FaceTime which you can see below:

Currently, Andrew Tate is under house arrest as Romanian law enforcement continues to investigate his role in an alleged human trafficking ring alongside his brother, Tristan Tate, and two other individuals. Tate was initially arrested in December on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group. He remained in prison until April when he was released and placed under house arrest. Despite his arrest, Tate has continued to be a constant presence on social media.

Tate earned a heap of notoriety on platforms like Twitter for his regularly outlandish and often misogynistic views. Perhaps his most disgusting take was to suggest that victims of rape should take responsibility for their own sexual assaults. Sadly, views that were once condemned often lead to clicks and cash in today’s society making individuals like Tate a lot of money.

What are your thoughts on the friendship between Khamzat Chimaev and Andrew Tate?
