Mike Perry is already looking ahead to his next opponent.

Perry is set to take on former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at the UFC 255 pay-per-view on November 21. That card was originally slated to be headlined by a flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Cody Garbrandt until the latter had to pull out due to injury. Instead, Alex Perez will now step in to face Figueiredo.

With reports stating that the UFC was now looking for a bigger fight to main event the card, Conor McGregor recently put his name in the hat by offering to face Dustin Poirier on certain events — UFC 255 being one of them.

Should that be the case, Perry and McGregor will be fighting on the same card and “Platinum” wants to use the opportunity to build up a future fight between the pair.

“After I beat @Ruthless_RL , let’s go Conor. @TheNotoriousMMA a stand up fight everybody will want to see,” Perry tweeted.

Of course, Perry still has to get past Lawler first. While “Ruthless” is on a four-fight losing streak, he is still a dangerous opponent who cannot be looked past easily.

As for McGregor vs. Perry making sense, it doesn’t. Then again, neither did Diego Sanchez.

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till is currently trying to raise the funds to allow him to corner popular welterweight Mike Perry who fights Robbie Lawler at UFC 255 next month.

‘Platinum’ announced a few days ago that he was auctioning off a place in his fight night team to the highest bidder. His long-time rival Till immediately offered $5000 to take the role. The Englishman known for his jokes on social media insisted he was “deadly serious” with his offer and it seemed to have been accepted. Perry’s manager later said the deal for Till to corner ‘Platinum’ was pretty much done and all ‘The Gorilla’ had to do was fund is travel costs.

This prompted Till to start a GoFundMe page to help raise the money for his UFC 255. The target was set at £25,000 and Till insists any extra cash will go directly to Perry.

However, it appears Till has some significant competion for a place in Perry’s corner. Adult film star Kendra Lust took to social media to offer $6000 to be by Perry’s side on fight night. The wacky welterweight’s girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez isn’t too keen on that idea though and made that much clear when replying to Lust.

Later Malki Kawa who is also a part of Perry’s management team told everyone to hang fire as he had been getting some interest from his clients who are in the NFL.

Perry hasn’t been seen in action since he beat Mikey Gall by unanimous decision, snapping a two-fight losing streak at UFC Vegas 4 back in June. For the fight, Perry took the unusual step of opting against having a traditional corner team and instead relying on his girlfriend to give him advice between rounds. He seems willing so go one step further by inviting a paying stranger to help him out against one of the best welterweight fighters of all-time next month.

UFC welterweight Mike Perry is selling a place in his corner for his next fight to the highest bidder. ‘Platinum’ is due to face former 170lb champion, Robbie Lawler, at UFC 255 in November.

Perry hasn’t been seen in action since he beat Mikey Gall by unanimous decision, snapping a two-fight losing streak at UFC Vegas 4 back in June. For the fight, Perry took the unusual step of opting against having a traditional corner team and instead relying on his girlfriend to give him advice between rounds.

It seems that Perry is willing to add one more person to his corner team for his fight with Lawler, provided the price is right. The welterweight power puncher took to social media yesterday to announce a place in his team will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

After his last fight Perry seemed determined to add more MMA experience to his corner.

“I just want to get better so I can build for us and Platinum Martial Arts,” Perry said. “I know I gotta look and out and find some more experience and it’s time for that now. We want to do that, we are probably coming to Miami bro to be honest with you. So, I look forward to training with Yoel.”

Soon after the quirky 32-year-old was pictured training with middleweight phenom Yoel Romero. Despite that Perry seems intent on having his girlfriend in his corner for a second straight fight.

Perry is known for his jokes so perhaps he isn’t actually auctioning off a place in his corner. He’s also wacky enough to think something like this is a good idea. Either way his corner team will for sure be one of the bigger talking points heading into UFC 255 next month.

Popular UFC welterweight Mike Perry has pledged his life to his girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez who is currently pregnant with their first child. Perry has shown his commitment to Gonzalez by tattooing her name on the underside of his bottom lip – check out the photo he posted to social media below.

‘Platinum’ hasn’t been seen in action since he beat Mikey Gall by unanimous decision, snapping a two-fight losing streak at UFC Vegas 4 back in June. For the fight, Perry took the unusual step of opting against having a traditional corner team and instead relying on his girlfriend to give him advice between rounds.

Since the win, Perry has found himself in trouble with the law. In July he was caught on camera knocking out what appeared to be an older man during an altercation at a Texas restaurant. It was subsequently reported that Perry was in fact accused of assaulting three people at the Table 82 restaurant on July 7.

In the aftermath of the incident, the UFC released a statement that claimed Perry would not be eligible to fight for the promotion until he has sort help for his issue with alcohol.

“UFC is aware and troubled by the video that was released last night concerning Mike Perry. The conduct displayed by Perry is not reflective of that of our organization. Perry apologized for his behaviour and acknowledged he was disappointed with himself that his actions may have reflected poorly on UFC. He further acknowledged that he believes he has some issues related to alcohol abuse and has informed UFC that he has committed to immediately seeking professional treatment, including substance and behavioural counselling. At this time, UFC has informed Perry that he will not be offered a bout, and the parties have agreed to evaluate next steps for Perry following the completion of his treatment program.”

As of late things are looking much more positive for Perry who is set to become a father. The UFC seems happy that ‘Platinum’ has made the necessary life adjustments and reportedly booked him to face former welterweight king, Robbie Lawler at UFC 255 on November 21.
