When the Ultimate Fighting Championship brings all of their fighters, as well as the newly acquired Strikeforce roster, there is bound to be some tension. This week almost every fighter from both organization was in Las Vegas for the UFC Fighter Summit which is used to help discuss marketing, injuries, finances, and other various issues that fighters will have to deal with on a daily basis.
This week we’ve already seen two fighters going at it verbally as former UFC champ Tito Ortiz and UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione got into an argument during one of the summit sessions.
Now, reportedly, current UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones, and former champ Rashad Evans, got into an argument on Wednesday night at Surrender, a club in Encore in Las Vegas..
According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Jones was at the club with Ortiz sitting at a table next to that of UFC welterweight Georges St-Pierre. Eventually with Jones and Evans in the club, both “got into a heated squabble that turned physical” before St-Pierre jumped in to tell them to take their squabble elsewhere. Both men would take their dispute elsewhere but no information has surfaced as to what may have transpired after leaving GSP’s table.
This whole incident is reminiscent of the altercation between Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, except nobody jumped in to stop them from arguing in the middle of the night club.
I don’t know about you, but I’m seeing a pattern here.
Okay so I stole that one from former WEC champ Urijah Faber, who posted that photo via Twitter (@UrijahFaber) along with this message.

Apparently UFC light heavyweight Ryan Bader is playing a joke on the champ after he left his seat unattended. (@ryanbader)

Former Strikeforce middleweight champ Cung Le explains to these two gentlemen that parking beside a fire hydrant is illegal. No just kidding. This is a photo still from Le’s upcoming movie “Dragon Eyes” due out later this year. The former Strikeforce champ stars alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme and Peter Weller (Robocop for those of you who don’t remember who he is!).
“Dragon Eyes” is a film about a mysterious man who tries to unite warring gangs in New Orleans, to fight the corrupt police force who is pitting them against each other.
