(December 14, 2012) – The title fights continue for Bellator MMA as the promotion announced today an explosive Bellator Middleweight Title fight between Russian knockout artist Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko and dominating Brazilian Maiquel Falcao LIVE on Spike TV Thursday, February 7th from Georgia’s The Arena at Gwinnet Center. The night will also feature the opening round of Bellator’s highly anticipated Featherweight Tournament, as well as loaded preliminary card that will be streamed exclusively on Spike.com.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by visiting The Arena at Gwinnett Center Box Office, with tickets starting at just $40 dollars. The event will broadcast LIVE starting at 10 p.m. EST on Spike, as well as in Spanish language on mun2. The preliminary card will be streamed LIVE and FREE on Spike.com starting at 8 p.m. EST.

After successfully winning his second Bellator Middleweight Tournament in 2011, Shlemenko has his sights set on one thing: The Bellator Middleweight World Championship. Currently riding a nine fight win streak and holding an incredible 46-7 record, Shlemenko knows his February 7th fight will be the biggest of his career.

“It was a long path for me,” Shlemenko said. “It doesn’t matter whom I will face to get my title, Falcao, or anyone else. I will smash my opponent, and win the title, because I have my country behind me. I’m fighting for the honor of Russia, and I’m glad that the audience on Spike TV in and on Russia 2 will be able to watch my fight live!”

“Big Rig” enters the fight after three dominating tournament victories inside the Bellator cage and continues training under the tutelage of head trainer and Luta Livre practitioner Marcelo Brigadeiro in Brazil. After competing in organizations across the world, Falcao knows he has found a home in Bellator and is hoping to etch his name into the Bellator history books on February 7th from The Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Press Release – New York, NY (December 13, 2012) This weekend GFL and Comcast continue their weekly combat sports series with world class MMA, as Xtreme Fight Events presents Cage Wars XIX a 12-bout pro/am card with hotly contested matchups inside the cage, highlighted by a main event for the XFE Lightweight Championship as reigning champion Ryan Cafara (4-3) takes on Sharif Jones (3-3). Cafara is a strong wrestler with powerful submissions and likes to control his opponent on the ground. Jones is another top shelf grappler and that could come in handy as he will be able to attack Cafara from multiple positions if he ends up on his back. Expect a barnburner.

In the co-main event, for the XFE Welterweight Championship, undefeated Nicholas Willey (3-0) battles Justin Bonitatis (2-1). Willey has dominated his former opponents and shown an ability to dictate the pace of every fight he has ever been in. This bout will be his toughest test to date as Bonitatis comes into the fight with an All-American wrestling pedigree which gives him a decided advantage on controlling where the fight goes. Press Release – Las Vegas, Nevada – History will be made on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., as the Ultimate Fighting Championship® will present its first women’s bout featuring UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey defending her title against top contender Liz Carmouche.

Rousey, a former Olympian and native of Southern California, is unbeaten in her pro career at 6-0, with all of her wins coming by way of submission. In her first UFC title defense she’ll meet Carmouche, a 28-year-old U.S. Marine from San Diego who has built a reputation for her power and grit.

“Ronda is the real deal,” UFC President Dana White said. “She’s nasty. She’s mean. She’s like Chuck Liddell. She goes out there and tries to finish her opponents. And Carmouche is tough as nails, too. She was a Marine and she’s got great ground-and-pound. I look forward to having the women join the UFC.”

In addition to Rousey-Carmouche, former world champions Dan Henderson and Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida will collide with the winner likely to earn a light heavyweight title shot. Henderson, a former PRIDE® and Strikeforce® champion, last defeated Maurico “Shogun” Rua in what many consider to the best fight of 2011. Meanwhile, former UFC light heavyweight champion Machida knocked out Ryan Bader in August and now has his sights set on a battle with “Hendo.”

Also on the card is an exciting bantamweight contest between former WEC champion “The California Kid” Urijah Faber and Ivan Menjivar. The two fought in 2006, with Faber scoring a disqualification victory. Now the two meet again with a chance to propel themselves into title contention at 135 pounds.

The event will broadcast LIVE starting at 10 p.m. EST on Spike. The preliminary card will be streamed LIVE and FREE on Spike.com starting at 8 p.m. EST. Owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation, WinStar World Casino features nearly 500,000 square feet of gaming floor, a 395-room casino hotel, a sprawling 27-hole golf course and organic Spa Habitat. Casino officials plan to host the Bellator fights inside the 3,400 seat Global Event Center, said Michael McEwan, WinStar World Casino’s assistant general manager.
