A Loving Photo/Video Tribute to Jade Bryce, Former (!?) Bellator Ring Girl

By now, you’ve probably heard the sad news: Longtime Bellator ring girl Jade Bryce has been released from the promotion. “Super sad to announce that I am no longer with Bellator,” Jade wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “They have chosen to go in a different direction for the new year. I worked exactly 99 fights for them over the past 4 years, & it truly was the best 4 years of my life.”

If Bellator’s “new direction” involves getting rid of all of its ring girls — even the other one that you never really hear about — because the use of ring girls in combat sports is a sexist tradition or whatever, we will grudgingly accept that. (Also, if Bellator is cutting Jade to make room for a ring boy, we will also accept that, because CagePotato has always supported equality and absurdity.)

Any other explanation makes no sense. Jade Bryce is a more beloved and respectable figure than 90% of Bellator’s actual fighter-roster. So yeah, we’re a little bitter today, because we love Jade; she’s beautiful, kind-hearted, and any MMA ring girl who doesn’t recoil in horror around us is aces in our book.

Kayla Lou is a 23 year-old British beauty who has been carrying the cards at muay Thai, K1 kickboxing, and boxing events over at Total Full Contact for a few years now (one can only imagine how many times the name of that promotion has been used as a pun to hit on her). A model since 2009, Kayla has scored promotional gigs for WWE America, Sunday Sports and Monster Energy, and is also a Playboy Miss Social contestant. When she’s not strutting her stuff in the octagon, this mother of one has actually been setting up a promotion called G-Man Promotions, which will hold its first MMA and K1 Kickboxing mixed event in March.

Just when you think that tattoos in MMA are a lost cause, along comes a ring girl like Katia Kubacki. A 23 year-old model and ring girl for such promotions as Cage Conquest, JNI Promotions, and Taipan Muay Thai Gym Fight Night, Katia has actually taken up MMA training in various gyms around her native Sydney and plans on making her amateur debut next year.

Based in Sao Paulo, Rayssa is a law student and animal lover, and is dating MMA fighter Bruno Scornavacca, a 2-0 welterweight from the Chute Boxe camp.
