Ian Garry is ready to rattle the haters at UFC 298: ‘If you don’t eat at my table, I don’t care for your opinion’

If you’re not eating at his table, Ian Garry is not interested in listening to what you have to say.

‘The Future’ returns to the Octagon this Saturday night for a rescheduled clash with Geoff Neal at UFC 298. Garry is undefeated in his mixed martial arts career, going 13-0 thus far with his last six wins under the UFC banner. Unfortunately, much of the attention surrounding the up-and-coming Irishman as of late has focused on things unrelated to his combat sports career.

Last year, Garry and his wife — Layla Anna-Lee — came under fire after it was revealed that Anna-Lee, who is 14 years older than Garry, once wrote a how-to book for mature women looking to date younger athletes. Though the 11-page scribe was written facetiously, she quickly drew the ire of fighters and fans alike.

Most notably, former middleweight world champion Sean Strickland delivered a series of scathing reactions to the reveal, dubbing Anna-Lee a “succubus” and a “predator.”

Speaking with TNT Sports, Garry revealed that the entire ordeal has drawn him closer to his family and has taught him to not value the opinion of anyone who sits outside of his circle.

“When I sign up to fight, I’m putting myself in that firing range,” Garry said. “I have that target on my back. My wife doesn’t, my son doesn’t, my team doesn’t. Fire at me all you want, that’s OK — I’m in this, I get to go in and punch someone in the face and get rid of it. I get to go in and I can call you out and I can fight you and we can do this. But to attack people’s loved ones and people’s family, I feel, is real low. I mean, my wife got called a pedophile. No one in the world who isn’t that deserves to be called that.

“So all of the [expletive] that’s been said absolutely has an effect on me and my loved ones, and it’s hurtful and it’s upsetting and it was difficult to deal with at the time, but we’ve learned from it. Somehow through all that negativity we’ve learned to pull the people around us closer. If you don’t eat at my table, I don’t care for your opinion.”

Despite all the background noise, Ian Garry is unwavering in his next goal, which is to be standing over Geoff Neal’s unconscious body in front of 20,000 people inside Anaheim’s Honda Center.

“I’m not going to sit down and berate people in a stadium whether they’re booing or not,” Garry said. “If that’s their opinion, fine. What I will do is I’ll bury Geoff Neal into the ground, I’ll stand over his body, I’ll do a 360 and I’ll look and I’ll assess every single person who I make eye contact with, and when I get on that mic, I’ll use that mic to do what it’s best for.

I’ll call out who’s next and I’ll line up what I want next, who I want next, where I want next, and I’ll get what I want because that’s how much power I have now. That’s the power I have. It’s in my hands now” (h/t BJPenn.com)

After brutalizing Sneako, Sean Strickland sets sights on influencer Bryce Hall: ‘You all wanna see a dead body’

The rivalry between Sean Strickland and the influencers of the world rages on.

The former middleweight world champion snagged a heap of headlines over the weekend after footage of him putting a beating on Sneako during a Friday morning sparring session emerged online. Strickland — who didn’t hold anything back against the popular Rumble streamer — drew the ire of social media star Jake Paul, who dubbed Strickland a “bully” and laid down a $1 million challenge to the ex-UFC champ.

‘The Problem Child’ wasn’t the only one who got into the act. During a brief interaction with Sneako over Super Bowl weekend, Bryce Hall — another popular YouTuber and TikToker — was upset by the beating Strickland put on his fellow influencer and proceeded to lay down his own challenge.

“I would love to spar Sean Strickland,” Hall said. “Dana [White], sign me up with Sean Strickland. I want to do a spar. I guarantee I would crack Sean Strickland.”

Sean Strickland Snaps back

Strickland, who always has his ear to the ground, quickly learned of the callout from yet another internet celebrity and promptly sent Hall a DM.

“You all wanna see a dead body??? God this is the only thing I’ve ever wanted,” Strickland wrote on X alongside a screenshot of his message to Hall. “Please please I never ask you for anything….. please!!!”

“I’m so sick of these fucks, didn’t know this man existed till the other night,” Strickland added in a follow-up post. “Please Jesus give me the strength not to catch a case if I ever see this maggot of a man in person. @BryceHall”

“Sean CTE Strickland is mad that I haven’t sparred him in boxing yet,” Hall responded. “Tbh yes, you would hurt me if we were doing MMA ( which we’re not ) but if we only use our hands there’s nothing that’s impressive about you. I’m all in”

In response, Strickland shared a curious Google search to see if there are any specific states where he would legally kill a man in mutual combat. He tagged both Hall and Jake Paul in the post, perhaps looking to eliminate two birds with one stone.

“Can I kill @BryceHall in Texas? Mutual combat and stand your ground state…..There you go @jakepaul….. also can you bring the million or more… You won’t be needing it after lmao… fuck I wish….”

For those unfamiliar, Bryce Hall does have a smidge of experience competing in the squared circle, including a fight under the Barek Knuckle Fighting Championship banner. In August, Hall won his BKFC debut after his opponent, Gee Perez, sustained an arm injury in the second round. Before the loss, Perez was 3-0 in bare-knuckle boxing.

Sean Strickland has had enough of influencers spouting stupid catchphrases and talking trash behind a keyboard.

It’s been a busy weekend for the former middleweight world champion. On Friday, ‘Tarzan’ got his day started by beating the sh*t out of controversial Rumble streamer Sneako during an early morning sparring session. For lunch, he got into a flame war with Youtuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul after ‘The Problem Child’ took exception to Strickland’s treatment of his fellow influencer in the now-viral video.

It was already a pretty full day for Strickland, but he was far from done. Making his presence felt at a star-studded Power Slap event in Sin City, ‘Tarzan’ got into it with musician and actor Machine Gun Kelly, calling the Grammy-nominated artist “weird” to his face before yelling, “I’m easy to find, vampire man!”

Already fed up dealing with internet personalities and Mr. Megan Fox, Strickland had absolutely no tolerance left when he was approached by TikTok star Jaykindafunny. You may know him as the kid who runs around invading people’s personal space while saying “Chupapi munyanyo.”

Attempting to get Strickland to repeat his nonsensical tagline during a brief interaction, things went pretty much how you’d expect.

“I don’t know who the f*ck you are, but in a different setting I might hit you,” Strickland declared before walking away.

Jake Paul thinks Sean Strickland is a bully. And ‘The Problem Child’ doesn’t like bullies.

On Friday, the former middleweight world champion made headlines once again after footage emerged of him putting a beating on popular Rumble streamer Sneako. The two had met a month prior at an event and Strickland reportedly invited him to hit the gym and go a few rounds.

Once Strickland had Sneako locked inside a cage, all the pleasantries were out the door.

Strickland bloodied and battered the kid, prompting many people within the MMA community to offer Strickland a round of applause. However, not everybody was amused. Jake Paul took to social media and slammed ‘Tarzan’ for going hard on a kid with little to no experience.

Paul then offered to fly Strickland out to Puerto Rico so they could have their own hard sparring session in front of cameras.

“Shawn Strickland you’re embarrassing for trying to stop sneako like that you weren’t even able to drop someone with no experience while going all out,” Paul wrote on X in response to the clip.

“You’re a horrid boxer that only picks on inexperienced people.. I’ll fly you to PR and we can fight on camera… if you win I’ll give you $1 million (half your net worth) But if you get dropped you have to get Betr tattooed on you. DM me. But just like paddy I’m guessing you’ll find a way to run.”

‘The Problem Child’ followed up his initial post with another, labeling Strickland as a bully.

“I hate bullies,” Paul added. “I was bullied and then was the bully sometimes in my YouTuber days. But now all my energy is focused on Boxing Bullies @Boxingbullies and helping the youth. But when I see someone like Strickland constantly bullying people, it’s time to bully back.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for Sean Strickland to snap back at Paul, making light of the YouTuber’s loss to Tommy Fury last year.

“You lost to a part time boxer….. lmao……… don’t forget that,” Strickland wrote.

Sean Strickland didn’t stop there

The ex-champ was far from done, laying into Jake Paul in a series of expletive-filled posts and expressing his desire to take the boxer’s life.

“Real talk… jokes aside.. Jake Paul is an utter fucking joke,” Strickland added. “You box small retired old mma fighters and you sell sugar water to kids.. If it were legal I’d take your fucking life with a smile on my face. Is there any place on this earth I can take this man’s life and walk?

“Actually Jake I’ll make you a better deal because money can’t buy happiness and you have plenty of it and youre still a cunt……. No cameras, me and you in a desert…. That would buy my happiness… No Instagram, no likes, no games…. Just you that’s what I want…….

“I want to conclude this, I want you all to understand the phenomenon that is Jake. You’re a professional troll, you fight retired small MMA fighters because you’re a troll but the worst part of it all is that you’re a cancer. You inspire people to accomplish nothing, to be nothing. You inspire people to be trolls because you were successful at it. Jake Paul you might be rich but you’re not man, you byproduct of society that has fallen. Your trolls will rally around you and be inspired to be like you but understand one thing, you and your troll army are not my equals. Enjoy your virtual world with the understanding that you’re a cancer on this country. Money will never buy you dignity. Enjoy.

Sean Strickland batters and bloodies controversial Rumble streamer Sneako during sparring session

Sean Strickland sparring Sneako

Sorry, Mikey Musumeci. If you want to get your hands on Sneako, you’ll have to get behind Sean Strickland.

Last month, the often controversial Rumble streamer had an awkward interaction with Strickland after he asked the former middleweight world champion for some words of wisdom. “The majority of influencers are c*nts,” Strickland quipped. Strickland’s disdain for social media stars aside, the interaction was fairly pleasant.

That was not the case when Sneako foolishly accepted an invite to spar with Strickland. Showing up to the gym early Friday morning, they both strapped on a pair of boxing gloves and stepped inside the cage for a couple of rounds.

It went pretty much how you’d expect.

Sneako rubbed a lot of fight fans the wrong way when he crassly commented that “jiu-jitsu is for autistic people.” The comment came while watching a clip of ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci earning a finish against Japanese MMA icon Shinya Aoki at a ONE Championship event in October. “He shouldn’t be winning,” Sneako added, referring to Musumeci’s unassuming appearance.

Musumeci took exception to the comments and called for a fight with Sneako. “There’s this guy named Sneako, making fun of me, making fun of my friend, making fun of jiu-jitsu,” Musumeci said on social media. “He calls himself a boxer, I’m a jiu-jitsu guy. Let’s have an MMA fight.

Obviously, Sneako would never agree to a legitimate fight with a five-time IBJJF world champion, but it is nice to see that an MMA fighter was able to get their hands on the obnoxious internet personality and bloody him up a bit.

Sean Strickland

Even when he’s hitting the slopes, Sean Strickland still finds a way to squeeze in some training.

Days removed from his disappointing split decision loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297, ‘Tarzan’ was spotted doing some snowboarding. However, a recent video shared by Strickland social media shows the often outspoken superstar mixing his sports with an unidentified fan.

In the clip, which you can see below, a fan shoots in for a single leg on Strickland and — to his credit — manages to get the former champ down on one knee. Unfortunately, it’s all downhill from there as Strickland appears to ramp up the aggression, taking the man’s back and locking in a rear-naked choke.

It’s far from the first time that Strickland has had an interesting run-in with a fight fan. During his trip to Australia for UFC 293 in September, ‘Tarzan’ claimed to have punched an Israel Adesanya supporter in the stomach, though it was later revealed that the interaction was playful in nature.

During a UFC 297 pre-fight press event, an individual in the crowd rushed the stage to shake Strickland’s hand. Strickland obliged just as the man was dragged away by security and dubbed a “savage” by the middleweight fan favorite.
