Bellator Champ Eduardo Dantas KO’d At Shoot Brazil 33 Event

Unlike the UFC, Bellator Fighting Championships occasionally lets it’s fighters compete for other promotions to help build good will, and it’s own brand as new fans are exposed to some of their fighters.
That is certainly some of the reasons why Bellator let it’s Bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas compete at Shooto Brazil 33 against American fighter Tyson Nam. Unfortunately for Bellator, and Dantas, the 135-lbs title holder ended up on the wrong side of the win column, suffering a first round one-punch knockout at the hands of Nam at the 1:40 mark.
