At Dana White’s official UFC 207 media scrum held at the UFC 207 Media Day in Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday, the UFC President shed some light on the recent rumors regarding the UFC future of longtime commentator Mike Goldberg.

Goldberg, who has worked alongside Joe Rogan for as long as most fans can remember as the duo that has called some of the biggest fights and biggest events in UFC history, will officially wrap-up business as Rogan’s on-air partner on UFC pay-per-view broadcasts, when the two call their final show together — UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey.

UFC President Dana White confirmed the news via the aforementioned media scrum held on Wednesday before members of the MMA media in Las Vegas.

“That is true,” said White in response to a media member asking if the rumors of Mike Goldberg’s departure after Friday’s event were legitimate.

Mike Goldberg began his career as a UFC commentator back in 1997, calling the UFC 15.5: Ultimate Japan event.

With all of the controversy surrounding Ronda Rousey’s fight week media obligations, particularly the weigh-ins on Thursday, UFC President Dana White cleared the air during a recent interview with CNN.

Not only will cameras be permitted for both the official morning and ceremonial evening weigh-ins for UFC 207 on Thursday, apparently her weight isn’t an issue altogether.

White told CNN in an interview this week promoting Friday’s big event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada that “Rowdy” Ronda is already on weight for her fight, and won’t have to cut any excess pounds going into her long-awaited Octagon return against reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes on Friday.

“She already weighs 135 pounds, she won’t have to cut any weight,” White told CNN. “She’s in phenomenal shape. She’s physically, mentally and emotionally ready for this fight.”

In the debut episode of the new MMANews.com podcast, Pony Keg Fights, Tim Thompson and Josh Stephens are here to bring you the most up to date news in MMA along with great fight recaps as well as some great interviews!

In episode one of the new show, UFC Flyweight contender Louis Smolka joins the guys to talk about his upcoming fight on the UFC 207 pay-per-view main card against Ray Borg. Smolka also discusses what it’s like being a fighter right now in Hawaii, his unfiltered thoughts on possibly fighting Sergio Pettis in the future after the younger brother of the former UFC Lightweight Champion pulled out of their originally scheduled meeting inside the Octagon due to an injury.

When asked about the possibility of a fight against Sergio Pettis, Smolka mentioned having reservations of booking the fight again due to his belief that Pettis could potentially pull out like he did the first time around.

“I don’t want him to pull out again, so I’d be kind of hesitant to take the fight but I’ll fight whatever,” Smolka told Pony Keg Fights host Tim Thompson during his appearance on the debut edition of the new MMANews.com podcast. “You know what I mean? But I’m not really trying to wait around for this kid who may or may not show up. Who may or may not get injured or whatever his problem may be. I’m not really trying to wait for that, ya know? Like, I’ll do it if I have to but it’s not the most appealing thing to me, ya know? I really don’t want to do another fight camp for nothing, cause I’m not going to take some late notice fight again. I learned from that, so I really don’t want to have to do that again. Ya know?”

When asked about any anger he may have towards Sergio, Smolka completely let loose, making his true feelings about the fellow UFC Flyweight contender quite clear.

“He’s a clown dude, he’s a freaking monkey,” said Smolka. “He’s a jackass! That kids a f*cking idiot, dude! F*ck him!”

Before a potential fight with Sergio Pettis can happen, Smolka will first stand across the Octagon from Ray Borg at next Friday’s UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey event. With Jessica Andrade being pulled from the show due to issues with her originally scheduled opponents, the two are now scheduled meet on the pay-per-view main card of what will be UFC’s final pay-per-view event of 2016.

Let us know what you thought of the premiere edition of the brand new MMANews.com podcast, Pony Keg Fights, in the “Comments” section below. Also, be on the lookout for the second episode of the podcast. Episode two of Pony Keg Fights next week will feature an exclusive interview with UFC Lightweight contender and Australia’s own, Damien “Beatdown” Brown.

TMZ Sports recently caught up with Dana White, where the celebrity-gossip website got the UFC President’s unfiltered reaction to the recent Cris Cyborg/USADA reports.

When discussing the fact that USADA notified the Invicta FC Featherweight (145-pound) Champion of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation on Thursday, the longtime UFC boss brought up her recent surprising call to turn down offers from the UFC to fight in the first-ever UFC Women’s Featherweight (145-pound) Championship bouts.

“First fight she had eight weeks to get ready,” White told TMZ Sports in the interview (see video above). “Second fight she had 11 weeks to get ready and the third fight she just turned down.”

“I thought it was just strange that she was turning down all these fights … not so strange now,” concluded White.

Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie to determine UFC’s first-ever Women’s Featherweight Champion headlines UFC 208 on February 11th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
