Ahead of their scheduled rematch for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship later this year, the vicious pre-fight trash talk continues between bitter rivals Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, with D.C. taking some incredibly low-blow shots at “Bones” Jones during a recent FOX Sports Live.

During his appearance on the FS1 program, Cormier took some brutal shots at Jones regarding his hit-and-run incident and his substance abuse issues while openly admitting he’s likely just getting started.

“Do you want your kids to try to be Carl Winslow? Or do you want your kids to be Tyrone Biggums making crack sandwiches?” Cormier stated. “He said, ‘Another drug joke?’ Well, yea Jon. Another drug joke. There’s plenty of them.”

Cormier continued, “I don’t hate him. I don’t wish bad on him. I don’t wish that he crashes into people. I don’t wish that he does all the stupid things that he does. I wish that his family didn’t have to go through all the things surrounding him, but for him, aside from all that other stuff? I can’t stand the guy.”

In further discussing his beef with Jones, he questioned “Bones'” claims that he moved to New Mexico to “grow up” after already having multiple incidents in his new hometown.

“I’m going to look at Jon and say, ‘Jon, you said you were moving to New Mexico to grown up. To me, it seems you went to the only place that will allow you to just be reckless and have no recourse for your actions.’ He didn’t go to grow up. He’s driving 75 in a 30. The guy’s using a damn passport as a driver’s license. It’s very clear, the difference. He told the cop he didn’t know he needed insurance to drive. This is crazy. He went where he could get away with all this stuff. Last time I threw my shoe at him so instead of leaving it on and having to take it off to throw it at him again, I’m just going to place it on the desk. If he talks too crazy I’ll throw it at him. He just says some of the most ridiculous things. It’s just he’s so stupid.”

UFC veteran Mikey Burnett, who once fought Pat Miletich for a UFC title during the “dark ages” of the sport, was reportedly shot three times during an attempted robbery in Tulsa, Oklahoma this week.

Jones Responds To Liddell: “Maybe He Should’ve Fought Smarter & Saved Some Chin”

Following Chuck Liddell’s recent claims that he would’ve “given Jon Jones big trouble” if the two fought during his active career, “Bones” has responded via social media, pointing out his belief that a different “Chuck” would be a tougher fight at this point.

Jones took to Twitter on Thursday to respond to the UFC Hall Of Famer, who claimed during his recent appearance on “The Fighter And The Kid” podcast that he would be a bad style match up for “Bones.”

“Maybe he should’ve fought smarter and saved some chin,” said Jones in his initial response.

Jones added, “Maybe, definitely wanted to be decent with him, sucks his hate is shifting things is this direction.”

Those are only the two responses that have yet to be deleted. In typical “Bones” Jones fashion, the more flashly response only saw the light of day for a brief period of time. The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion also posted this one, pointing out that a different “Chuck” would be a tougher challenge.

Jones-Cormier Trade Verbal Jabs Yet Again, D.C. Insinuates “Bones” Isn’t Off Of Drugs

While many in the MMA community are focused on this weekend’s Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisping fight and next weekend’s UFC 196 main event between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are reminding…

While many in the MMA community are focused on this weekend’s Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisping fight and next weekend’s UFC 196 main event between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are reminding fans about the upcoming rematch of one of the biggest grudge matches of 2015.

While the biggest grudge match of 2015 would have to be considered Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo, the Jones-Cormier showdown in January wasn’t far behind at all. In fact, when 2015 began, it seemed impossible to top the pre-fight tension shared between “Bones” Jones and D.C.

With 2016 still getting started, there are a host of grudge matches already scheduled, two of which will come and go within the next 8 days with UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Bisping scheduled for this Saturday evening and UFC 196: McGregor vs. Diaz taking place next Saturday.

Having said that, Jones and Cormier are back at each other’s throats on social media, with each man taking shots at the other recently.

The latest round of pre-fight trash-talk began when the following post was made, with Jones mocking the fact that D.C. is referred to as the “undisputed” UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Obviously this is in reference to the fact that Cormier won a vacant title that was only up for grabs because Jones was stripped of the title for his personal hit-and-run incident as opposed to losing a fight inside the Octagon.

While it took a few days to respond, Cormier acknowledged Jones’ social media meme in one post where he pointed out that his family showed him the photo as a way to explain his tardy response before ultimately firing back with a visual shot of his own.

Cormier took Jones’ crack about his championship status one-level further, as he went the personal route in taking a shot at Jones’ claims that he is now sober. The recognized UFC 205-pound champion posted the following:
