Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk battled in what was arguably the best fight in women’s mixed martial arts.

Zhang and Jedrzejczyk collided in the co-main event of UFC 248 on Saturday night for the women’s strawweight title. Both fighters had their moments rocking each other multiple times.

In the end, the crowd applauded as they fought the full distance in a very close encounter. Only one can win, though, and it was Zhang who ended up earning the split decision verdict to defend her title.

Taking on Drakkar Klose in a lightweight bout on the main card of UFC 248 in Las Vegas, Dariush had a good first round where he threatened with the submission.

Klose managed to survive and looked to have the upper hand in the second round as Dariush seemed tired. Klose even landed a big strike which hurt Dariush as it appeared the end was coming.

However, Dariush survived and landed a right that wobbled Klose. He went for the finish and ultimately landed the knockout punch.

Round 1: Dariush lands a body kick. Klose lands a big right. The two are going at it. Dariush closes in with a takedown attempt and lands it. Klose does well to get up but is controlled by Dariush. Darius gets on his back and is attempting the rear-naked choke. Klose defends it and drops down but receives a number of strikes to his head. Dariush is adjusting as he looks to lock in a submission. Dariush attempts a face crank and a rear-naked choke but Klose manages to survive until the end of the round.

Round 2: Klose lands an inside leg kick. Dariush returns his own kick. They start to exchange as Dariush looks tired. Klose has him hurt and starts to unload. It looks like the end is here but Dariush lands his own strike that wobbles Klose. Dariush looks for the finish and lands the knockout punch in what is a crazy end to the fight!

Round 1: Magny starts off with pressure. Jingliang responds with strikes. The two exchange strikes before they later clinch up. Jingliang has Magny’s back and is trying to take him down. He gets him down but Magny is right back up. As Magny separates, he gets hit with a big strike. Jingliang puts the pressure on but Magny takes his back and gets him down. Jingliang gets up but Magny still has his back. The position is then reversed with Magny up against the fence. Magny defends a takedown attempt and they separate. Magny lands a jab and clinches him against the fence. He lands a big knee to the body but is reversed. Jingliang attempts a takedown and gets it. Magny pushes him off with a kick and they return to striking. Magny lands a knee to the body and starts landing some big strikes. Strong end to the round for the American.

Round 2: Magny opens the round with a jab and unloads a flurry. He misses a flying knee but clinches Jingliang up. “The Leech” reverses him against the fence. Now Magny reverses and almost gets the takedown. He still has his back and lands strikes on Jingliang. Jingliang reverses and attempts a takedown but is unable to after spending quite a bit of time. Magny reverses and later lands a takedown. Jingliang gets up but is receiving strikes to the head. Magny starts to land shoulder strikes. They separate with Magny landing jabs right away. They clinch up again. Jingliang attempts another takedown but is unable to get it as Magny lands elbows to the head. Magny lands a knee but then misses a flying knee. He is overwhelming Jingliang now and ends the round with a big takedown.

Round 3: Magny starts the round where he left off. Jingliang is responding better now but the American is still in control. He lands a number of jabs. Jingliang misses with some wild strikes. Magny attempts a takedown but Jingliang defends and reverses. They separate and return to striking. Jingliang is still using head movement and landing strikes but Magny is still in control. Magny clinches him against the fence. They separate but Magny clinches him up again and lands a big trip. He starts to land strikes. Jingliang could be in trouble. Magny has landed more three times as many significant strikes. Magny lands two big knees and ends the fight strong.

Official result: Neil Magny defeats Jingliang Li via unanimous decision (30-27).

Round 1: Griffin opens with a right that misses. He is clearly the aggressor early on. Oliveira lands a right of his own. They clinch up against the fence. They separate and return to striking. Griffin lands a big strike that seems to have hurt Oliveira. They clinch before Griffin trips him and is on top. Griffin lands strikes but doesn’t do anything effective as Oliveira eventually gets up. Griffin still has his back and takes him down. Oliveira reverses with a partial kimura before they scramble up. The round comes to an end.

Round 2: Griffin opens with a jab. Oliveira responds with a body kick followed by two leg kicks. Griffin is bleeding from his face but appears fine as he lands a stinging jab. Griffin clinches and tries to take Oliveira down but the latter reverses and is now going for his own takedown. Griffin is bleeding a lot more and the fight is temporarily stopped. It appears it was a result of an uppercut from Oliveira. The fight continues. Oliveira lands a leg kick. Oliveira continues to land leg kicks and follows it up with a right hand. The two start to exchange more. Griffin looks for a takedown but Oliveira defends and reverses him onto the cage. He attempts a spinning elbow on Griffin. Oliveira defends another takedown attempt and has Griffin clinched up against the fence. Oliveira is looking for a takedown. Griffin defends it and they separate. Oliveira is landing some big kicks to the body. Oliveira attempts a takedown but it’s defended by Griffin as the round ends.

Round 3: The duo return to striking before they clinch up again. Griffin attempts a takedown as Oliveira lands a couple of elbows to his head. They separate and Oliveira takes him down and has Griffin mounted. Griffin does well to get out of it but Oliveira still has the half guard position. Griffin is struggling with the blood pouring into his eyes. Oliveira gets the mount and lands strikes. Griffin tries to scramble and reverses the position and is now on top. He’s not landing many strikes but remains on top. The fight comes to an end.
