Sean Strickland warns fans about Andrew Tate he's not a messiah he's a pimp UFC 293

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland shares his views on controversial influencer Andrew Tate.

Strickland is set to challenge Israel Adesanya for his middleweight championship this weekend in the main event of UFC 293. While Strickland has enjoyed a decent run of form since moving up to 185lbs, it has been his actions outside of the cage that have garnered the most attention.

The 32-year-old has used slurs and offensive language while covering a range of topics such as homosexuality, women’s rights, trans people and about everything in between. The American has also revealed rather horrifying details about his past which can give you a little more insight to his mind.

Sean Strickland disses Andrew Tate ahead of UFC 293

While you might think that Strickland and Tate, Strickland would blast the former kickboxer, labelling him as a ‘con artist’.

“We share a lot of values, but… Here’s the thing about Andrew Tate – as a young man I see why you guys look up to him because you guys are morale-less men. You have no values, you have no positive role models, so you latch onto a piece of shit like Tate. you say you ‘I want to be like Tate’, ‘all my problems in the world are because women are fucking me’, that’s not it,”  Strickland said on The Nelk podcast.

“Andrew Tate is a con artist, he [Tate] used to rob people’s savings. To see the way he talked with no remorse, it wasn’t ‘I did something so morally wrong, I took advantage of men, ‘I took money from men’ – it was like ‘nah fuck them, I’m a con-artist, I’m a piece of shit.”

Strickland would not hold back when describing Tate and implored young men not to follow in his footsteps.

“I’m telling you Andrew Tate he’s not your Messiah he would turn you out for a dollar he’s a f**king pimp he’s a wh*re,” said Sean Strickland.

“Don’t be like him, don’t want to drive a fucking Bugatti, Andrew Tate you guys – there’s so many better male role models out there.”

Do you agree with Sean Strickland’s take on Andrew Tate?

Canadian rapper and producer, Drake has once more dipped into his pockets ahead of a high-profile UFC card, slapping a whopping $500,000 wager on defending middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya to defeat Sean Strickland tonight at UFC 293.

Headlining the promotion’s return ‘Down Under’, undisputed middleweight champion, Adesanya takes main event honors in Sydney, Australia against surging challenger, Strickland – attempting to launch his first defense of his second reign atop the middleweight pile.

Regaining supremacy of the division back in April of this year in Miami, Israel Adesanya stopped common-foe and arch-nemesis Alex Pereira with a hellacious second round knockout in ‘The Sunshine State’ – lodging his first win over the Brazilian in five attempts across combat sports.

As for Strickland, the massive betting underdog, who has done utmost to get under the skin of City Kickboxing staple, Adesanya ahead of tonight’s title showdown at the Qudos Bank Arena, earned his makeshift title fight back in July.

Headlining another UFC Apex facility-hosted event, Covina native, Strickland stopped German contender, Abusupiyan Magomedov with a second round TKO – following up a prior decision win over Nassourdine Imavov back in January in an impromptu light heavyweight tangle.

Entering tonight’s return to Australia whilst riding an undefeated streak while fighting in Oceania during his Octagon tenure, Adesanya most recently landed an undisputed title win over Robert Whittaker back in 2019, unifying the crowns in a second round KO triumph.

Israel Adesanya shouts For China at UFC 293 weigh ins Sean Strickland fight

Receiving his fair share of falk from incoming opponent, Sean Strickland for his apparent allegiance to China following an extensive kickboxing career spent in the country, undisputed middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya played up to the barb after making weight successfully for his UFC 293 main event, making a remark toward the Asian country.

Adesanya, a two-time and current undisputed middleweight champion, headlines UFC 293 this weekend against incoming title challenger, Strickland, attempting to kick off his second reign as division gold holder with a successful title defense.

Most recently headlining UFC 287 back in April of this year in Miami, Florida, Adesanya reclaimed the middleweight crown from arch-rival and common-foe, Alex Pereira, defeating the Brazilian with a thunderous second round KO victory in ‘The Sunshine State’.

Sharing a tense back-and-forth during Thursday’s press conference ‘Down Under’ this week, Adesanya was again poked fun at by Strickland, who even claimed the City Kickboxing staple shared his allegiance with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), as well as mocking his time competing in professional kickboxing in China.

And playing into the joke himself at today’s official morning weigh-ins, Adesanya remarked, “For China” after successfully making championship weight for his title affair with Strickland.

“After successfully weighing in at 184.8 pounds for #UFC293, champion Israel Adesanya remarks, “For China.” MMA Fighting posted on their official X account.

Retaining an undefeated record whilst competing in Australia during his illustrious tenure fighting under the UFC banner, Adesanya tasted undisputed middleweight success for the first time in his stint with the Octagon ‘Down Under’ back in 2019, stopping two-time foe, Robert Whittaker with a massive second round KO win to unify the crowns.

UFC 293 Adesanya vs. Strickland Betting Preview

Closing the curtain on the promotion’s return ‘Down Under’ this weekend, undisputed middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya is trending to do so as a resounding favorite against Sean Strickland – as the pair headline UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia.

Adesanya, a two-time and current undisputed middleweight champion under the banner of the UFC, has so-far enjoyed a promotional perfect run whilst fighting in Australia since landing inside the Octagon, striking undisputed gold for the first time back in 2019 against Robert Whittaker in a trip to Melbourne.

As for Strickland, the outspoken Covina native will feature atop a pay-per-view card for the first time in his lengthy Octagon stay, and competes for organizational spoils for the first time to boot.

Riding a two-fight winning run into his title affair with City Kickboxing staple, Adesanya, Strickland racked up an impressive July stoppage win over Abusupiyan Magomedov – defeating the Russian-born contender with a slew of second round strikes.

Israel Adesanya closing as massive favorite to defend title at UFC 293

However, despite his unturn-in form this year, Strickland is priced as a massive +450 betting underdog to defeat Adesanya this weekend over on Betway

As for the defending Adesanya, Betway are currently taking outright winning action on the Nigerian-Kiiw to emerge with a win at UFC 293, at staggering betting favorite odds as high as -650 at the time of publication.

Snatching middleweight gold back from arch-enemy and common-foe, Alex Pereira back in April of this year in the main event of UFC 287 in Miami, Florida, Adesanya dispatched the Brazilian knockout finisher with his own thunderous win, felling the Sao Paulo striker in the second round with a massive KO triumph.

And attempting to make good on the beginning of his second title reign atop the middleweight pile this weekend in Sydney, Adesanya can also be backed as a considerable -100 betting favorite to defeat Strickland by way of knockout, technical knockout, or by way of disqualification and retain his undisputed middleweight championship.

Expected to be up against the kosh from the onset and throughout his five round sanctioned tangle with Adesanya this weekend, Strickland’s underdog backing in terms of an outright way, follows him to the prop market to boot.

Similarly, if punters want to back Strickland to win the middleweight title via knockout, technical knockout, or by way of disqualification, they can do so currently at odds as high as +900.

As for when the event headliner will conclude, Betway are currently offering odds that within the very first round – at -500 no less, either Adesanya or Strickland will prevail and land a stoppage win at UFC 293.

Interestingly, ahead of his title fight return, Adesanya noted his desire to land a submission win before the end of his career in mixed martial arts, and teased that Strickland may present him that opportunity to boot.

And notably, Betway are taking action on a potential submission win for Adesanya at UFC 293 at the Qudos Bank Arena, with odds albeit quite out there at +1,400 for the dominant striking talent to chalk up his first submission triumph inside the Octagon.

Sean Strickland nearly broke up with his girlfriend after she refused to help him cover up a hypothetical murder.

The outspoken middleweight standout will receive his first crack at championship gold this weekend as the promotion returns to Australia for UFC 293. In the main event of the evening, Sean Strickland will challenge the reigning and defending 185-pound king, Israel Adesanya.

Arriving in Sydney with his girlfriend in tow days before the event, ‘Tarzan’ revealed that he nearly had to break up with her after she made it clear that she would not help him cover up a murder.

“So, I actually almost, we almost broke up once. [I’ll] tell you why. So, something happened, we’re talking about [if I] accidentally killed a man, like, I’m gonna go to jail for life and she said she’d f*cking put me in prison,” Strickland said during the third episode of UFC 293: Embedded.

If that is not the most Sean Strickland reason to break up with your girlfriend, we’re not sure what is.

Sean Strickland Fails to Prove His Point

During the episode, she corroborated his claim, telling the UFC 293 headliner that he’ll just have to “Live with your consequences.” She further validated Strickland’s story saying, “But, seriously, he almost did break up with me. He was like, I don’t know, I don’t know if I want to be with you anymore I said ‘I’ll grab my stuff right now.’”

In a weird way, they almost seem perfect for each other.

Sean Strickland attempted to prove his point whilst speaking to random people. “Let me ask you a question for the camera because we’re doing embedded,” Strickland asked multiple people in the latter half of the episode. “Your wife driving a vehicle hits a cyclist, kills a cyclist, do you drive away? Or you put your wife in prison?”

Needless to say, ‘Tarzan’ did not get the response he was looking for.

So perhaps Sean Strickland will have to be careful not to commit any murders, accidental or otherwise, in front of his new sweetheart, but the California native is determined to catch a body when he steps into the Octagon for a long-awaited title fight with one of the best strikers in the world.

Israel Adesanya shuts down Dricus du Plessis title fight he might have to fight twice more

Currently occupied by a title defense opposite Sean Strickland this weekend at UFC 293, undisputed middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya has now distanced himself firmly from a title outing with Dricus du Plessis, questioning the South African’s claim to a challenge.

Adesanya, a two-time and current undisputed middleweight champion under the banner of the promotion, returns this weekend to top UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia – taking on the surging number four ranked, Strickland at the Qudos Bank Arena.

However, prior to Strickland’s involvement in his premier title fight under the promotion’s scrutiny, Adesanya was expected to fight opposite the newly-minted number one contender, du Plessis.

Landing atop the rankings pile at UFC 290 back in July, Pretoria native, du Plessis stopped former champion and common-opponent, Robert Whittaker with a blistering second round TKO, however, a lingering foot injury ruled him from a quickfire turnaround with Adesanya.

Israel Adesanya unsure on title fight with Dricus du Plessis after UFC 293

And recently playing up the fact that du Plessis may now have missed out on his chance to challenge him, Adesanya, who has been conflicting in his thoughts on a future pairing, stressed that it may not come in the foreseeable future.

“I don’t know – you have to ask Dana (White),” Israel Adesanya told assembled media ahead of UFC 293. “Dricus (du Plessis), doesn’t know how to play the game. Look, you can’t sit on your f*cking – is it ranking or whatever? And you think you’ve got it locked in.”

“This is the UFC, if you look back at the history of the UFC, sh*t happens, you know,” Israel Adesanya explained. “So he thought he was sitting pretty, but he might have to fight two more times before he gets a shot at this.”

Adesanya’s claims follow suit of recent suggestions from his City Kickboxing head coach, Eugene Bareman, how du Plessis may have, in fact, missed his call for a title siege, while UFC leader, White also stressed how he was not a fan of fighters apparently turning down quick turnarounds.
