Former undisputed light heavyweight champion, Jamahal Hill insists his business with Alex Pereira is still far from over despite the Brazilian’s spectacular victory at UFC 303 tonight in Las Vegas, urging him to stick around at the weight class for a title rematch.

Pereira, who headlined UFC 303 tonight in Las Vegas, turned in a second career win over the another former champion, Jiri Prochazka – flattening the Czech Republic native with a stunning second round high-kick knockout early in the second round.

Earlier this year, Pereira took on the returning Hill at UFC 300 in April, landing his first successful defense of his light heavyweight crown with a stunning opening round knockout win over the Dana White’s Contender Series product.

And vying for a chance to take on the Sao Paulo knockout artist in the immediate aftermath of his title charge loss, Hill still wants to take on Pereira in the near future – claiming there business is still not settled.

Himself immediately linked with a stunning heavyweight move in a bid to become the first three-division champion in Octagon antiquity, Pereira claimed following UFC 303 that he can envision that move coming to fruition in the future.

I think that’s in my future,” Alex Pereira told Joe Rogan of a heavyweight move following his devastating win at UFC 303. “You know, I said that the last time I was here [inside the Octagon]. There didn’t seem to be a lot of interest in the organization, but I’m here, and I’m available and I do think that’s in my future.”

After dropping Prochazka with a left hook in the final second of the first round, Pereira uncorked a perfectly timed head kick five seconds into the second, catching Prochazka clean and dropping him. After a few ground-and-pound strikes for good measure, referee Herb Dean was forced to step in and call for the stoppage a mere 13 seconds into the round.

Taking to social media, Conor McGregor offered his appreciation for Pereira’s technique and execution.

“Left high kick,” McGregor wrote on X.

Originally, McGregor was supposed to be competing in the UFC 303 headliner, squaring off against former Bellator MMA champion Michael Chandler. Weeks ahead of fight night, ‘Mystic Mac’ was forced to bow out after breaking his pinky two while training.

That paved the way for Pereira and Prochazka to run back their November 2023 clash in the International Fight Week finale.

With the win, Pereira moved to 8-1 inside the Octagon with all, but two of his wins coming by way of knockout. Saturday’s stunning finish was his first head-kick KO under the UFC banner.

Pereira, the current undisputed light heavyweight champion and former undisputed middleweight kingpin, made his return to the Octagon tonight on short-notice in a re-run against former titleholder, Prochazka — replacing an injury-stricken Conor McGregor in a championship headliner at UFC 303.

Holding a prior victory over Czech Republic favorite, Prochazka as recently as November, Alex Pereira added the light heavyweight crown to prior middleweight gold last year, felling the former champion with a second round TKO.

And starting brightly tonight against the former Rizin FF star, the writing appeared to be on the wall for Prochazka against Sao Paulo finisher, Alex Pereira — who dropped him with a huge patented left hook with just seconds remaining in the first round.

Seeing a second frame, albeit briefly, Prochazka was once more dropped — this time just 13-seconds into the round, with Pereira launching a hellacious left high-kick early in the frame, sending the former to the canvas for a second time in quick succession, with a slew of ground strikes forcing the stoppage victory.
