UFC Auckland Full Fight Card

UFC Auckland will go down tonight (Sat. February 22, 2020) from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.

The UFC has compiled a great card for the Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion’s return to Auckland. In the main event of the night, lightweights Paul Felder and Dan Hooker will go head-to-head. Light heavyweights Jim Crute and Michael Oleksiejczuk will collide in the co-main event. Also, former UFC women’s strawweight title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz takes on Yan Xiaonan.

Now that the official weigh-ins are in the books, the UFC Auckland ceremonial weigh-ins are here. Tomorrow (Sat. February 22, 2020) the action goes down from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.

In the main event of the night, Dan Hooker takes on Paul Felder in what should be an epic lightweight scrap. The co-main event will see light heavyweights Jim Crute and Michael Oleksiejczuk go head-to-head. The fighters have all weighed in and the card is final. All that’s left to do is take the big stage for the final face-offs before fight night.

UFC Auckland Weigh-In Results

The UFC Auckland weigh-in results are in ahead of tomorrow’s (Sat. February 22, 2020) event from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.

In the main event of the night, lightweights Paul Felder and Dan Hooker will go one-on-one. It’s a feud that has developed quite a bit of bad blood over the past few weeks. Both men stepped on the scale and hit their marks at 155.5 and 156 pounds, respectively. The co-main event will feature light heavyweights Jim Crute and Michael Oleksiejczuk. They also weighed in successfully at 206 pounds each.

Dan Hooker and Paul Felder put their differences aside while greeting each other in traditional Maori fashion.

Hooker and Felder meet in the main event of UFC Auckland this Saturday in what is a pivotal lightweight bout. Things between the pair are also heated, especially after Hooker took issue with Felder mocking his last name. “Hangman” also wasn’t a fan of Felder stating that he wanted to knock him out in front of his friends and family.

It only promises to make their matchup that much more exciting. For now, things were a bit more cordial when they went face-to-face with a traditional Maori greeting. However, there was still a bit of tension in the air.

Despite their animosity, Hooker claimed he would have never done anything during that moment because it would have disrespected the Maori culture.

“Accepting and coming in, the Maoris are a place of peace,” Hooker stated later in the video. “You can’t bring in any tension like that to a Maori. It would have been incredibly disrespectful of me to push him or shove him. … I have too much respect for the Maori culture to do anything silly.”

The UFC has officially released the poster for their upcoming UFC Auckland event in February.

All the action goes down from the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on February 23. The card will feature some great bouts, including a lightweight scrap between Paul Felder and Dan Hooker. The winner of the bout could very well take the next big step in their quest for a shot at the 155-pound throne.
