Earlier tonight (Sat. July 13, 2019) former UFC women’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie made a thunderous return to the Octagon.

“GDR” finished Aspen Ladd in just 16 seconds to tye a record for the fastest women’s bantamweight finish in UFC history. De Randamie hit Ladd with a clean and hard straight right hand that dropped Ladd down to the canvas. However, as Ladd dropped, she seemed to be adjusting on the ground and preparing to defend.

However, the referee stepped in and waved the action off, awarding “GDR” the first-round finish victory. The mixed martial arts (MMA) community took to Twitter to react to the finish.

That's a judgment call for Herb Dean, but looks like a bad stoppage in hindsight. Can't blame him for stopping it, but he could have given the undefeated fighter a bit more time.

Fight fans and fighters had a lot to say about the impressive win that Urijah Faber’s put on against Ricky Simon when he destroyed him.

In the fight, Faber returned in impressive fashion as he dropped Simon with a right hand then rained down strikes on the ground for the win. This fight served as the co-main event of the UFC Sacramento event on Saturday night (June 13, 2019) from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California on ESPN+.

Following the fight, Faber called out UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo for a fight. This marked Faber’s first fight back since December of 2016 when he defeated Brad Pickett by unanimous decision.

Urijah Faber is back, and with a bang! “The California Kid” returned earlier tonight (Sat. July 13, 2019) after several years away from the Octagon in which he initially retired.

The UFC Hall Of Famer returned to the bantamweight division and made quick work of top prospect Ricky Simon. Faber was able to withstand an early blitz and heavy pressure from Simon right out the gate, and caught the young bantamweight with a big overhand that dropped him down.

Faber swarmed on Simon for some nasty ground-and-pound, before the referee had no choice but to step in and call it off. Check out the finish here:
