The official weigh-ins for tomorrows World Series of Fighting 1: Arlovski vs. Cole event went down this evening at the PH Live in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Main event heavyweights Andrei Arlovski (247) and Devin Cole (249) made weight for their bout, while co-main event light heavyweights Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson (205) and opponent D.J. Linderman (205.5) were also on weight.

Two fighters failed to make weight, as Travis Bartlett (208) came in two pounds over the limit, while prelim middleweight Dustin Jacoby (186.5) was 1/2 -lbs over.

The live event is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2012 at at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas with the main card airing on NBC Sports and the prelim card streaming live at Sherdog.com.

The World Series of Fighting held a pre-fight press conference on Thursday (Nov. 1, 2012) for it’s upcoming inaugural event scheduled for this Saturday. The Nov. 3rd event takes place at at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card airing live on NBC Sports and the prelim card streaming live at Sherdog.com. Speaking at the press conference was promotion president Ray Sefo, main event heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Devin Cole, light heavyweights Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson and opponent D.J. Linderman, as well as former WEC bantamweight champ Miguel Torres and Marlon Moraes.

The World Series of Fighting promotion is set to host it’s inaugural event this Saturday when WSOF 1: Arlovski vs. Cole the new promotion hits the NBC Sports Network airwaves.

Official weigh-ins for the November 3, 2012 event, are set to begin today in the lobby of the PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first fighter is expected to hit the scale at 7pm EST (4pm PST).

Saturday’s event is scheduled to take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The main card will air on the NBC Sports Network, while the preliminary card streams live on Sherdog.com.

The first show is headlined by a heavyweight matchup featuring former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski and former Strikeforce figther Devin Cole. Also featured on the main card is a bantamweight match featuring Miguel Torres vs. Marlon Moraes, and a light heavyweight bout between Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson vs. D.J. Linderman.

The event also heralds the mixed martial arts debut of K-1 star Tyrone Spong, who takes on Travis Bartlett in the preliminary card headliner.

MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant talks via Skype with Ray Sefo, President of the newly-formed MMA organization called The World Series of Fighting and hears what he has to say about their debut event, set to take place November 3, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ray lets us know how the organization came together, how it has affected his relationship with the UFC and how the WSOF was able to secure a television deal with NBC right out the gate. He also talks about some of the fighters on the card for the first event, which includes Andrei Arlovski, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, Miguel Torres, JZ Cavalcante and many other notable MMA names. An active fighter himself, Ray also lets us know if we will see him in the WSOF cage and he also gives us a few thoughts on kickboxing standout Tyron Spong’s debut as an MMA fighter.
