Darren Till might have spoken too soon when he called out Yoel Romero for his next fight. The Englishman had taken to his Instagram account to post a picture of “The Soldier Of God,” captioning it, “Leg’s go,” before tagging Romero.

However, a day later, Till took to Instagram yet again to hilariously double guess the callout. He posted a meme that read “When you wake up, and realize you called out Yoel Romero.” Check it out here:

A fight between the pair certainly makes sense. Romero comes off a decision loss to Paulo Costa in what was a middleweight title eliminator. As for Till, he made a successful debut at 185 pounds this past weekend. Till bested Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 244 last week.

With the win, Till is one big victory away from a potential title opportunity. Romero has been speculated to be Israel Adesanya’s next challenger for the middleweight strap, but UFC president Dana White has noted he wants the Cuban to get a win before facing Adesanya. If so, a fight with Till would certainly make sense for all parties involved.

What do you make of Darren Till’s reaction to himself calling out Romero next?

New UFC middleweight contender Darren Till has called out former title challenger Yoel Romero.

Till recently made his debut at 185-pounds when he outpointed Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 244 this past Saturday. In doing so, he is now ranked in the top five of the division and seemingly in title contention.

“The Gorilla” is ready to face anyone in his quest for a UFC title. However, for a long time, he has spoken of how the one opponent he didn’t want to face was Romero simply because of how much of a “beast” he is.

Well, it now appears that Till has overcome his fears as he called out “The Soldier of God” on Thursday.

“Let’s go @yoelromeromma,” Till wrote as a short caption while posting a picture of Romero.

Romero appeared to be campaigning for a shot at Israel Adesanya’s title following the news that Paulo Costa would be on the sidelines for a while.

However, UFC president Dana White wants Romero — currently on a two-fight losing streak — to have a fight before getting another title shot. Maybe Till could face him next in a title eliminator?

What do you think of a Romero vs. Till matchup? Who takes it?

Israel Adesanya is the new king of the UFC’s 185-pound division. “Stylebender” solidified himself as the top dog in the middleweight class by finishing Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 in Australia.

Now, Adesanya looks to make his first title defense in 2020. It was believed that opponent would be Paulo Costa. However, Costa has suffered an injury and was forced to undergo surgery to repair it. As a result, he won’t be ready to go until the second quarter of 2020. In the meantime, both Adesanya and Romero have been talking up a fight against each other.

But according to Romero in a recent Instagram post, Adesanya seems to be backing out of the bout. Here’s what the “Soldier Of God” had to say.

@stylebender you calling me out and now you putting excuses to back out? What happen , you heard I send people to the hospital after my fights? Don’t back out now…#seeyousoonboi #soldierofgod

While it seems a fight between Adesanya and Romero is what makes the most sense, UFC president Dana White has said he wants Romero, who comes off a loss to Costa, to get a victory before challenging Adesanya.

“(Adesanya) wants to fight Yoel Romero. He wants Romero. So we’re talking about giving Romero a fight coming up soon here and then (Adesanya) will fight the winner of that fight.”

What do you think about Romero’s claim that Adesanya is backing out of their fight?
