Are you excited about Saturday’s UFC 163 event?
If not, I totally understand. Saturday’s event is long on purchase price and short on the kind of top-to-bottom pay-per-view excellence that we’ve come to expect from the UFC.
It’s not entirely their fault, of course. Injuries to Anthony Pettis and Josh Koscheck took what once was a decent card and tossed it in the “well, I guess I can miss it” pile.
But at the same time, we have two intriguing fights: the main event between Jose Aldo and Chan Sung Jung, and the light heavyweight co-main event between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis.
We all know Aldo will likely win the main event, but what about Machida and Davis? Is this the moment when Davis morphs from prospect into legitimate title challenger? Or will he lose another big fight on his way up the ladder, just as he did to Rashad Evans?
In my latest Bleacher Report Video production, I take a look. And I’d also like to hear your own opinions on those two fights, plus your pick for Fight of the Night honors, in the comments below.
