The troops left Fort Campbell (Ky.) glowing after the action-packed UFC Fight Night 31 (Fight for the Troops III) produced an unforgettable card.
But while watching the card unfold live on Fox Sports 1 proved a captivating experience, viewing the highlights on the special Fox Sports Phantom cam was downright mesmerizing.
Of the 13 fights on the card, the troops were treated to six knockouts—including an incredible KO from Tim Kennedy in the night’s main event—two submissions, and five unanimous decisions.
Watching the event’s drama on Fox’s usual high-definition cameras gives viewers a chance to watch footage at a rate of 380 frames per second. The Phantom Cam, conversely, allows audiences to see action at 5,000 frames per second, an enhancement that obviously gives fans an extraordinarily clear and precise prospective of the fights.
Just to name a few, Derek Brunson’s shin to the head of Brian Houston, Rustam Khabilov’s spinning hook kick to the jaw line of Jorge Masvidal and Yoel Romero’s overhand left to the temple of Ronny Markes were some of the night’s highlights.
Take a look at the above video to experience the Phantom Cam in all its glory.
