The elimination round. It was a concept that The Ultimate Fighter incorporated to rid the show of fighters who “didn’t want to be there” or didn’t deserve to be there.
Brought in for the seventh season of the show, it is a concept we have seen for the most part since then. In most cases, it has separated the best fighters from the worst fighters.
Of course, that is not always how it goes. In fact, sometimes, fighters who lose in the elimination round and fail to make the house end up still making the UFC and being successful.
