Michael Bisping has never been one to mince words.

For the better part of the past decade, “The Count” has captured the attention of fight fans with his performances inside the Octagon and entertained the masses with the countless number of sound bites he’s willingly dropped on the regular outside of the cage.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 3 winner’s abrasive persona has made him one of the most polarizing fighters to come along in the 20-year history of mixed martial arts, forcing fight fans into a love-hate relationship with the brash-talking Brit.

When fight night comes around, fans are either tuning in to see the 35-year-old Englishman’s hand raised or to see him put down. Either way, Bisping has consistently garnered attention and ultimately succeeded in one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish in combat sports.

That said, the majority of friction the Manchester native generates is primarily focused on whatever matchup he’s linked to, and his willingness to engage in pre-fight trash talk has led to some of the most heated rivalries to come along in recent memory.

He’ll step in to settle another ongoing feud—this time with Luke Rockhold—on Friday night in the main event at Fight Night 55 in Sydney, Australia. With his bout against the former Strikeforce middleweight champion rapidly approaching, Bisping took time out of his schedule to discuss his personal approach to trash-talking and psychological warfare with MMA Talk on UFC Fight Pass.
