Now this is something you don’t hear everyday.
According to a post on Twitter by Khabib Nurmagomedov, the unbeaten lightweight had signed to meet Donald Cerrone next week at UFC on FOX 19 earlier in the day.
However, Nurmagomedov stated that Cerrone injured his ribs hours after signing on the dotted line and will not make the April 16 event in Tampa.
Earlier this week, Tony Ferguson was forced to pull out of the planned lightweight title-eliminator vs. Nurmagomedov, who has battled injuries recently himself.
Cerrone, however, doesn’t seem to see things the same way as Nurmagomedov, responding to the fighter on Twitter:
Let's be Very Very Clear I didn't pull out of a mother fucking thing. https://t.co/NV1M2PRaaG
