As we previously reported, Fedor Emelienenko’s daughter was attacked over the weekend while on her way home from school.
Union’s press secretary, Julia Kuklin, a police investigation has been launched in Moscow, Russia in search of the young lady’s attackers:
“Indeed, the attack on the daughter of Fedor Emelianenko took place,” Kuklin said (courtesy of Tass). “At the moment, the girl feels good. She is in the intensive care. She got the police to deal with the incident and an investigation is under way. None of the assumptions in the media have been confirmed by the competent authorities.”
Moscow police received a criminal case that was filed for ‘battery’, a maximum prison sentence of two years in Russia:
“The results of the verification of the information about the beating of a minor in the center of Moscow department of inquiry OMVD Russia’s Zamoskvorechye district opened a criminal case under article 116 of the Criminal Code [” beating “]”, – quotes the message police TASS.
Fedor himself was not available for comment, as his coach, Vladimir Voronov, told R-Sport he is currently training for a fight that has yet to be announced for the Russian legend:
“Fedor continues to get ready at the training camp in Stary Oskol, together with the national team, working equally with all. I heard about the news (of the attack on a fighter’s daughter), but have nothing to say about it. He continues to train.”
