Jose Aldo still has no desire to compete again for the UFC.

The current interim featherweight champion met with Dana White and Sean Shelby on Wednesday in Las Vegas, but stated afterwards that he doesn’t see himself returning to the Octagon.

“What the future will hold?” Aldo told MMAjunkie after his meeting. “Nobody knows, we’ll have to wait and see.”

Aldo recently stated his desire to retire from MMA and pursue other career opportunities. He has cited issues with the booking of himself and a possible rematch with Conor McGregor as his reason for wanting out of his contract.

One thing Aldo isn’t planning on doing is taking the UFC to court over his deal.

“There’s no reason to do that,” Aldo said. “I’m not that kind of guy. I’m a man. I came here, no one made me come here. I chose to be here, I wanted to have a face-to-face conversation, man to man. I made my feelings known, not through statements made to third parties or misinterpretations. I wanted to sit down with Dana and Sean and tell them what I felt. That’s it.”
