With Conor McGregor’s star rising even higher than usual, it’s time for the latest chapter in the saga that is the potential crossover match between the new two-division UFC World Champion and arguably the best boxer on planet earth, Floyd Mayweather.

After taking shots at each other in recent interviews, with “Money” Mayweather being “offended” at comparisons to the Irish mega-star and UFC President Dana White for the first time reportedly being willing to talk about the long-shot possibility of putting together such a fight.

On Tuesday evening at 1 OAK in New York City, “The Notorious” one picked things back up by getting on the DJ’s house microphone and announcing to everyone at the club, “Floyd [Mayweather’s] not ready for this!”

McGregor, who defeated Eddie Alvarez and broke a number of records in the process with the UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past Saturday night, wasn’t done just yet.

Still on the house mic, McGregor continued, “Much respect to Floyd. He’s a solid businessman on what he’s been able to do. He’s a f*cking animal at what he’s been able to do. But as far as real fighting, as far as true pure unarmed combat, Floyd don’t want none of this.”

In conclusion, McGregor revealed that if “Money” Mayweather insists on a traditional Marquees of Queensbury rules boxing match as opposed to an actual fight, it’s going to cost him — a lot.

“He wants a boxing match, he doesn’t want a fight. I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules. He’s afraid of a real fight.”

It looks like the ball is back in Floyd Mayweather’s court.
