After last night’s (Sat. November 11, 2017) epic UFC Norfolk event, several fighters took home an extra $50,000 for their extraordinary performances.

The main event of the evening saw a Dustin Poirier and former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis put on an epic thriller that resulted in big shots, excellent ground exchanges, and tons of blood. Poirier ended up winning the fight after forcing Pettis to tap out due to an injury he sustained during a ground transition. Nonetheless, it was certainly the best fight on the card and they were awarded Fight Of The Night honors as a result. Both Poirier and Pettis were gifted $50,000 bonuses for their efforts.

Also, in what was expected to be his last fight of his career, UFC veteran Matt Brown put on an epic performance against former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez. After withstanding an early blitz from Sanchez, Brown was able to catch a kick before delivering a nasty elbow strike that earned him a first round knockout victory. Brown was given Performance Of The Night honors along with an extra $50,000.

Top bantamweight contender Raphael Assuncao also earned himself Performance Of The Night honors for his nasty third round knockout of Mathew Lopez early on in the main card. After bettering Lopez’s leg for the first two rounds of the fight Assuncao was able to land a big punch that downed his American counterpart for good. The Brazilian will also be taking home a $50,000 bonus.
