Jiri Prochazka Clarifies His Sexual Orientation After Post-UFC 311 Comments Spark Confusion

Jiri Prochazka felt the need to clarify his sexual orientation after some fans took his post-fight comments at UFC 311 the wrong way.

‘BJP’ climbed back into the win column with a vicious third-round knockout of Jamahal Hill inside the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The victory solidified him as the No. 2 ranked contender in the light heavyweight division and may have set the stage for a trilogy fight with the division’s reigning champion, Alex Pereira.

Speaking with Megan Olivi backstage following his victory, Prochazka left some fans scratching their heads when he said he had “something” for the “crazy guys” he had brought from his village to watch the fight in L.A.

“I took two f*cking crazy guys from my village to here to see this event and today I will bring them to my hotel and they will see something,” Prochazka told Olivi.

Jiri Prochazka sets the record straight … no pun intended

While Prochazka is by no means obligated to clarify his comments, let alone disclose his sexual orientation to anyone, he chose to do exactly that during an interview with The Schmo after seeing his post-fight words were being misconstrued.

“I wanna clarify the interview after the fight,” Prochazka said. “I said something like, we will celebrate with the guys in the room and all these things. Just to be sure, everyone, I’m a straight man.”

With his win over Jamahal Hill, Prochazka is now 5-2 under the UFC banner, 31-5-1 overall. Whether it’s ‘Poatan’ or somebody else, what’s next for the Czech remains to be seen, but Prochazka is more than willing to take some time off if it means facing the winner of March’s UFC 313 title tilt between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev.

Israel Adesanya Predicts Winner of UFC 312 Title Fight Between 'DDP' and Sean Strickland

Having already gone toe-to-toe with both fighters, Israel Adesanya offered his prediction for who will leave UFC 312 with the middleweight championship wrapped around their waist.

Emanating from the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on February 8, reigning 185-pound titleholder Dricus Du Plessis will put his gold on the line against the very man he took it from just over a year ago, Sean Strickland.

The rematch came as a bit of a surprise to fight fans considering how quickly undefeated Chechen monster Khamzat Chimaev tore through former champion Robert Whittaker last year. Even Du Plessis stated that he’d much prefer a fight with ‘Borz’ over anyone else. Still, the promotion opted to give ‘Tarzan’ another crack at the title after picking up a closely contested victory over Paulo Costa in June.

Adesanya, who has fought and lost to both Strickland and ‘DDP’ inside the Octagon, recently offered his prediction for how things could play out between the former and current titleholders in The Land Down Under.

“I say, I say that Dricus wins that one, if it’s close maybe, or maybe it’s more decisive this time, it’s gonna be a hard fight for both men but I think I would give the edge to Dricus in this fight,” Adesanya told MMAJunkie.

Israel Adesanya headlines the UFC’s return to Riyadh on February 1

While the world waits for Du Plessis and Strickland’s sequel scrap, fight fans will see Adesanya step back into the Octagon for his first non-title fight in six years. ‘The Last Stylebender’ will headline the UFC’s return to Saudi Arabia on February 1 when he meets Nassourdine Imavov inside the ANB Arena in Riyadh.

While the build-up to this fight may not produce the same type of animosity and intrigue as his scraps with Strickland or Du Plessis, Adesanya promises that the fight will produce the fireworks they’ve come to know and expect from the ‘Stylebender.’

“It’s always good to mix things up but again, this is just fighting. It’ll be pretty boring the lead-up to this fight for the fans who want like, that kind of stuff but the fights gonna be very exciting, that’s the sauce in this one,” Adesanya explained.

Joe Rogan Races to Defend Elon Musk Amid 'Nazi Salute' Allegations: 'Fascism is Real Folks'

Joe Rogan was quick to defend Elon Musk after the Tesla Motors CEO was accused of using a Nazi salute while speaking at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

Musk, who has been a staunch supporter of Trump throughout his re-election campaign, came under fire after his “my heart goes out to you” gesture towards the 47th President of the United States looked suspiciously like the infamous ‘Sieg Heil’ salute that was used by Nazis to greet one another.

Gh0OVh1WwAADBkK

While most have condemned Musk’s actions, suggesting that the Sultan of Space X knew exactly what he was doing, some have come to the defense of the richest man in the world. That includes long-time UFC color commentator Joe Rogan who called the accusations “dumb” while offering no real insight into what exactly Musk was thinking or attempting to do so—aside from the obvious.

“It’s [the allegations linking Musk to the Nazis due to the salute] so dumb,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast But they couldn’t help it. They saw a thing, and they’re like, ‘We’re gonna run with it. He’s [Musk] clearly showing he’s a Nazi. Trump’s in the office. He’s a Nazi. Fascism is real folks, here it is.”

Joe Rogan thinks everyone needs to stop comparing people to Adolf hitler

Rogan went on to claim that those pretending that ‘everyone is Hitler’ are ‘broken’ individuals as he continued to stand up for the billionaire who has appeared on his show five times before.

“This is why they want to conflate and always want to pretend that everyone’s Hitler,” Rogan continued. “The problem with that is, after a while, it’s crying wolf and people are like, ‘Oh, this is a bull***t game you’re playing and you’re just using it as an excuse.

“Elon has talked about this a lot. He’s absolutely correct is that people use woke ideology as an excuse to be an a**hole, and it’s really just people that are a**holes that are attaching themselves to things that make them feel righteous,’ he continued. So they wrap themselves in this idea to give them virtue and to allow them to say the most awful things about other people that have different perspectives.”

Midnight Mania: Bad Business? UFC Canceled Mac’s Highly Lucrative ‘Glorified Spar’ Vs. Paul

Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Conor McGregor will not be traveling to India and boxing Logan (or Jake) Paul anytime soon.

A month ago, news broke that McGregor was in discussion to box one of the Paul brothers in an exhibition match funded by a billionaire. Allegedly, there was a $250 million purse in play, which is far from chump change even to these wealthy influencer athletes. There was immediately doubt as to whether McGregor could pull it off, however, as he’s still under UFC contract and is supposed to fight in 2025.

Such skepticism was well-founded. In a recent interview with “The Schmo,” McGregor revealed that UFC shut down the exhibition match, which he describes as a “glorified spar.” In addition, McGregor wonders why such a good business deal was passed up, seeing as it could have made money for UFC, WWE (Paul is a WWE superstar), and the TKO stock as a whole.

“It is what it is,” McGregor explained (via MMA Junkie). “The UFC just aren’t into it. The offer was there on the table, in writing. Both athletes will say, ‘He’s not fighting,’ but both athlete are under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE both rising up. The stock price of TKO Holding Ground through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming. It was business savvy, and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say the glorified spar happen.

“In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the Cctagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC weren’t into it. The WWE, I’m not sure what their interest in it was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”

In the same interview, McGregor also threatened to fight randomly for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and cross over into influencer boxing … though I’m not sure the Irish superstar wants any more legal drama. At any rate, UFC is continually delaying his comeback schedule, so it’s really hard to say when we’ll see McGregor in any kind of competition.

Hopefully it’s this year at least?

Former UFC Fighter Shares Heartbreaking Diagnosis

Former UFC fighter and BJJ black belt Vagner Rocha revealed that he has been diagnosed with heart failure.

Rocha, 42, has been retired from mixed martial arts since 2017 after putting together a solid 14-4 record, including four appearances under the UFC banner and back-to-back wins in Bellator. His most notable appearance inside the Octagon came at UFC 133 when he squared off with 2023 Hall of Fame inductee Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.

Earlier this week, the Rio de Janeiro native took to Instagram to reveal that he had been hospitalized for multiple days and was hit with a heartbreaking diagnosis.

“Spent the last 5 days in the hospital undergoing tests, and the doctors found out I have heart failure,” Rocha wrote. “We don’t know how long this has been going on, but they said it could’ve been tragic if I had waited any longer to seek help.

“Years ago, this would’ve completely shaken me, but the closer I grow to God, the more I trust he’s in control. It’s been a serious situation, but through it all, I’ve experienced a deep sense of peace. I’m thankful for the care I’ve received, and for the love and support from loved ones. God’s timing is always perfect, and I am never been more sure that in fact He is working everything out for good.

“Now I am on the road of recovery, taking one day at a time and keep monitoring my heart. One thing I notice is if you can’t discern God’s time you won’t understand the process, you will fear, have doubts and will be desperate. But when you understand the process you have total trust that God is using people and situation to develop and equip you for what’s to come in the next chapters of your life.”

Outside of the UFC, Rocha become an accomplished Submission Grappler

Aside from his accomplishments in MMA, Rocha has established himself as a world-class competitor in the world of submission grappling.

Rocha took home silver at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championships in both 2019 and 2024. He also came in second at IBJJF Worlds in 2021. Rocha has also competed three times at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational, his only loss on the platform coming against Nicky Rod.
