The finishes kept piling in earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 6, 2018) at UFC 229 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as lightweight veteran Scott Holtzman put a brutal end to Alan Patrick via third-round knockout (elbows).
Despite being known as a strong wrestler with a good top game, Holtzman did a lot of damage on the feet. Patrick seemed frustrated at points and never really got anything going. After dropping Patrick in the third round, Holtzman jumped on top and eventually landed devastating push-off elbows to secure the finish.

With this performance, Holtzman locks down his third-straight finish at 155 pounds and gets his first knockout victory in UFC competition. The 35-year-old proved that he can get up for a big fight on a big stage and should land another meaningful matchup his next time out.
