UFC logoThe Ultimate Fighting Championship is considering a change to the start time of all their events, moving the traditional 10PM EST (7PM PST) start for pay-per-views to an hour earlier beginning at 9PM EST (6PM PST) instead.

The news comes from MMAFighting.com, who reports the change could start as soon as UFC 129 in Toronto, which takes place on April 30.

The reason behind such a move would be in order to make UFC programming more accessible to the Eastern time zone of North American, where the bigger number of Americans and Canadians make their homes. Normally pay-per-view events end at 1AM EST and would now sign off at midnight instead.

The change would not effect the standard length of pay-per-view broadcasts, which would remain at three hours.
