Ladies and gentlemen, we are live on Spike TV!

In the fourth fight of the night, Kendall Grove squared off against Tim Boetsch in a middleweight bout.

The fight started out in the middle of the Octagon with Grove looking to display his striking prowess. That did not last long, as the naturally larger Boetsch took down “Da Spyder.”

After landing a little ground-and-pound, Boetsch stood back up. Then as they clinched against the cage, Boetsch dropped down for a double leg, and once again put Grove on his back.

From Grove’s guard, Boetsch looked to drop some heavy leather. Grove attempted to throw up a triangle, but Boetsch was easily able to work out of it.

Once they were back to the standing position once again, Boetsch was quick to close the distance, and clinched with Grove against the cage. From there, they traded punches and knees until the round came to an end.

As the second round began, Grove took the middle of the Octagon and began to use his reach to keep Boetsch at a distance. However, Boetsch was able to close the distance and the two fighters found themselves clinched against the cage.

After they traded a few knees, Boetsch was able to get another takedown. From the side mount, Boetsch dropped a few heavy right hands to Grove’s head. Grove was able to stand back up, if only for a moment before Boetsch took him down again.

Before absorbing any damage, Grove was able to get back to his feet. Once again, it didn’t last long, as Boetsch dropped for another double and took Grove back to the ground.

After a failed armbar attempt from Grove, the fighters found themselves standing before the round came to an end.

The third round began with a single leg takedown by Boetsch. Grove was able to get back to his feet quickly, and started to land some good rights and knees from the clinch before Boetsch took him down yet again.

Again, before taking any damage, Grove was able to get back to his feet. Then from their feet, Boetsch scored another takedown. After a triangle attempt by Grove, Boetsch took Grove back to the mat again (notice a pattern here?).

Grove was able to get back to his feet and score a takedown of his own, but he immediately found himself under Boetsch again as the fight ended.

Once again, the fight goes to the judges, and they awarded Tim Boetsch a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
