During a media conference call last week UFC heavyweight contender, Junior Dos Santos told reporters that ever since his first and only loss, losing is not something he’s afraid of.
“Losing is not really that big of a deal,” said Dos Santos.
He told reporters that, he learned a lot from his first and only loss and that it was the defining moment in his career.
Because of that loss he has really matured as a fighter.
Dos Santos plans to approach his fight with Carwin the same as he would have against Brock Lesnar, but only his gameplan will change.
Dos Santos’ interpreter said, “His training is still the same. The strategy is the only thing that has changed. In his opinion, the only thing that would change in the fight is that, against a guy like Brock, he’d feel a little more comfortable on his feet. As to where, fighting a guy like Shane he’s going to have to be always a little more cautious when they’re on their feet.”
Is this a hint that Dos Santos might be taking this fight to the ground?
If so, we my get to finally see Dos Santos brown belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in action.
