According to ESPN.com, courtesy of MMAPayout.com, the Ultimate Fighting Championship are currently in talks of negotiating a broadcast deal with Fox Sports network.
Several sources have reported that Fox is the leading candidate to reach a deal with the UFC, and an agreement could be made by the end of the year.
The news comes after the UFC officially announced a broadcast deal with Fox Sports Latin America last week.
MMAPayout reports that Fox has been interested in featuring mixed martial arts program on its channel that could help generate ratings among the 18-34 demographic. Fox have been in talks with Strikeforce and UFC and could broadcast the organization on Fuel TV, an action sports network featured on Fox.
Fuel TV has already been airing several MMA programs such as “Shark Fights,” “Legend Fighting Championship” and “Punk Payback,” hosted by Bas Rutten, scheduled to debut this fall.
Fuel TV have been seeking MMA content for the last year and hope to expand their male demographic from the 12-to-24 age group to the 12-to-35 age group by the end of this year.
