Noguiera celebrating UFC 134 win

The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out an extra $100,000 in bonus checks to UFC 134 main card fighters Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Edson Barboza and Ross Pearson in “Fight Night” awards.
Nogueira scored the “Knockout of the Night” bonus with his stunning first round knockout of fellow heavyweight Brendan Schaub. With a total of six (T)KO finishes, four of which took place on the main card of UFC 134, ‘Big Nog’ beat out all of the other victors to earn his first “KON” bonus.
While lightweights Edson Barboza and Ross Pearson earned the “Fight of the Night” bonus for their three round battle, which saw Barboza pick up a split decision victory to remain undefeated at 9-0. The bonus is the second straight “FON” award for the Brazilian, who earned his first bonus at UFC 128 last March.
No “Submission of the Night” was awarded as there were no bouts that ended with a submission decision.
UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami took place on August 27 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeior, Brazil and represented the promotions first visit to the South American country since 1998.
